Commercial Description:
Not suited for timid or reserved beer drinkers, Wild Blue’s defining taste characteristic is its kick of natural blueberry flavor. The Blue Dawg Brewing team carefully selected a blend of hops and barley malt to ensure they complemented and balanced Wild Blue’s dominant blueberry notes, resulting in a robust and aromatic beer with a refreshing, palate-cleansing finish. Wild Blue is brewed with a blend of German hops from the Hallertau region in Bavaria and classic Aroma hops from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest. A combination of two- and six-row barley malt also was chosen specifically for this recipe. Beer lovers will appreciate this specialty fruit-infused lager’s striking burgundy color, ripe blueberry aroma and its ability to stand up to the strongest of foods.

did not know what to expect, did not know this was a-B, which would have made me think twice before purchasing at the price i did. drank 3 during the cavs game last night, easy to drink, sweet, but not too sweet, syrup with a beer

I love it. Was recommeded to me by the liquor store when I asked for a flavored beer to try. I usually enjoy only the first few sips of beer while it’s really cold but I enjoyed this one until I finally finished it while making dinner. I love the purple color---it doesn’t remind me of urine like regular beer does!

Bottle: pours a grape color with a off-white pink head. Immediately this gave me doubts. This tastes like you would expect judging by the color. It is thirst quenching, with a sweet blueberry taste with a slight tartness. Sort of like blueberry wine or carbonated grape juice. Not really my thing, but drinkable. The alcohol content saves it a little adding some complexity. Probably wont drink this again.

hmm tastes really good, smells good... neat color, but tastes more like wine than beer, during the second fermentation they add blueberries to the kettle... tastes a little more like a desert wine than a beer... if it was cheaper it would be great for college kids though, goes down easy and gets u really drunk

bottle - It pours blue and has an obvious blueberry aroma. The flavor is very sweet and dominated by the blueberries. The 8% abv is well hidden because this beer tastes more like kool-aid than beer. In the dimly lit bar I couldn’t read the fine print well enough to see who made this beer, but I really wondered who would make a fruit beer this way. A-B. I should have known.

Maroon beer with a pink head. Nice nose. Pleasantly, the taste of lager hops hit me just before the rush of blueberries. It is a tad sweet and my only blueberry beer experience, so I can not comment on any comparisons. In it’s favor I’d say it hides the alcohol very well and has the added attraction of having that wonderful refermentation that I admire. A bit sweet for my taste. Wouldn’t turn one down. Good job.
