COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not suited for timid or reserved beer drinkers, Wild Blue’s defining taste characteristic is its kick of natural blueberry flavor. The Blue Dawg Brewing team carefully selected a blend of hops and barley malt to ensure they complemented and balanced Wild Blue’s dominant blueberry notes, resulting in a robust and aromatic beer with a refreshing, palate-cleansing finish. Wild Blue is brewed with a blend of German hops from the Hallertau region in Bavaria and classic Aroma hops from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest. A combination of two- and six-row barley malt also was chosen specifically for this recipe. Beer lovers will appreciate this specialty fruit-infused lager’s striking burgundy color, ripe blueberry aroma and its ability to stand up to the strongest of foods.

Very nice blue color pouring into the glass, with only a slight head and some foam. It looks like blueberry juice from a can, and smells like it too. The initial taste is sweet, definitely not a fake blueberry taste as some have said, though there isn’t a whole lot more to it. It finishes clean, sweet, and warms all the way down. My wife thought it was too sweet, but I liked it. It’s one of the best non-lambics I’ve tried, and one I may very well buy again. I won’t drink a lot of it at a time, though, just because it is so fruity.

Pours a dark blue. Aroma is faint but has hints of malt, blueberry, and alcohol. Taste is similiar with a hefty alcohol and sickly sweet aftertaste. Not a refreshing beer...

It really is what it is, and a really good example in fruit beer. Doesn't taste like 8 %

Fantastic fruity beer with a great refreshing taste. The aroma tops it off of blueberry and hops.

Purchased by error, mistaken for a lager. 8.0% abv. Blueberry colour little head. Sweet and juicy no bitternes. Some carbonation.

Bottle. A- Blueberry, mixed berries. A- Dark purple color, hazy liquid, pink head. T- Blueberries, mixed berries, artificial, sweet, alcohol. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, artificial sweet finish. O- This felt like it belonged in the Lime a Rita series. 8% and full of crappy artificial fruit flavoring. There really wasn’t anything good about this. Really. Nothing.

This has maybe slightly more beer character than Bud Light Lime-A-Rita. What beer character there is though is sort of stale, oxidized malts so I could honestly live w/ out it. This looks and tastes more or less like grape soda only w/ less carbonation. At eight percent alcohol, I suppose it can serve a certain purpose but otherwise leave this stuff alone.

Bottle from Budweiser Fort Collins. Appearance: finger of pink head, ruby red color, clear, not much lacing. Aroma: tart blueberry. Palate: light body, lively carbonation, cloying sweetness. Taste: cloying sweetness, light tart. Overall, simple and overly sweet. poor beer.

Great beer for a refreshing taste. Do not pretend to be anything different than it is. Taste like nothing you have ever had before!

Bottle. Red with a half finger pink head. Smells of the blueberry. The taste is too cloying, can't really drink it. Has a very artificial taste. The palate is fair. Too sweet and I don't think about having it again! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a rosy red with a thick pink head. Smells of blueberries. Taste is all blueberries with a bit alcohol bitterness. This was really a strange one for me. It’s kind of sweet and yet bitter on the backend. Interesting.
