Commercial Description:
Not suited for timid or reserved beer drinkers, Wild Blue’s defining taste characteristic is its kick of natural blueberry flavor. The Blue Dawg Brewing team carefully selected a blend of hops and barley malt to ensure they complemented and balanced Wild Blue’s dominant blueberry notes, resulting in a robust and aromatic beer with a refreshing, palate-cleansing finish. Wild Blue is brewed with a blend of German hops from the Hallertau region in Bavaria and classic Aroma hops from the Willamette Valley in the Pacific Northwest. A combination of two- and six-row barley malt also was chosen specifically for this recipe. Beer lovers will appreciate this specialty fruit-infused lager’s striking burgundy color, ripe blueberry aroma and its ability to stand up to the strongest of foods.

Tried this one at a taste testing. Looking forward to having it at summer gatherings. A nice light and refreshing taste. Will go great with lighter summer meals. Ladies that don’t think they care for beer need to try this one. Not heavy like wine and not as sweet as wine coolers. Drink wisely the 8% on this one will sneak up on you.

I know this has got bad reviews. I they should advertised this correctly. People who love beer, and the taste of beer, and are expecting a beer with hints of blueberry flavor will not like this. I am not a huge fan of beer taste so that must be why I love it. However I don’t like real sweet mixed drinks or wine coolers either. It should have been advertised as a blueberry malt beverage. For those of you who love real beer with a hint of flavor try Wells banana bread beer, imported from england.

If you’re looking for something that tastes like beer, this probably isn’t for you. However, if you’re looking for a fruity beverage with a kick, this is great. Wonderful summer beverage!

Shocked, I tell you. Shocked. And while I’m on the subject of shocked, I also had Shock Top Belgian White, but that I knew was AB brewed. It was wonderful, too, BTW. But the Wild Blue Blue me away. Reminiscent of Lindemann’s fruit lambics, but with a fuller body and sweeter taste, this Wild Blue is a summertime winner for sure, though not for everybody. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t give up Sea Dog Blueberry Wheat, either. Now, how to find it in my area.
