Pours a deep reddish purple with an almost ’bright’ pink head that is pretty robust, but settles quickly. Blueberry aroma coming out of the bottle seemed nice and unique, but becomes more subdued in the glass...still not bad overall...but nothing else to the aroma but blueberry. Flavor is, well, um, odd. Kind of a roller coaster, you get a big dose of sugary sweetness up front, then turns into a bland, watery lager before finishing with an extremely cloying sweetness. Very fruit juice like in the finish, and I find it hard to believe there is any 8% ABV in this one. Even with that sort of alcohol content, you’d get sick due to the sugar before you’d get drunk off of these. Palate is light and watery with a syrupy note. Although this wasn’t horrible, the flavors did not meld together whatsoever!

Oct 8, 2008 Purple body with pinkish head... strong berry flavor, not a typical fruit beer, but refreshing... Decent fruit beer for AB, who would have thought?? I love this beer in the summer time... goes down smooth, quick and easy... had to buy a case...

Oct 5, 2008 Best stuff I’ve had from AB actually leaves a lacing on the glass does remind me of carbonated grape Kool Aide not much on traditional beer taste and you can’t taste the alcohol but you can sure feel it.

Oct 3, 2008 Beer pours with a slight hint of blue in the head. The presence of berries was obvious. Average mouthfeel and carbonation. I like how the hops and berry flavoring matched. Not a great beer but quite refreshing and enjoyable.

Sep 30, 2008 Well its not blue. I dont really recall blueberries have much of an aroma but it does smell "berry". The alcohol is surprisingly masked and only noticable at the very end. The taste reminds me of cough syrup. I cant say that I am enjoying this at all.

Sep 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a cherry color into a dark cherry in the glass. A lavender head! Don’t see that often. Nose is of blueberries. Taste is like berry juice, not beer. Mouthfeel is thin but syrupy sweet and fairly well carbonated. Alcohol well hidden. Hard to drink it all though as it was very sweet; like drinking cough syrup.
