2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 randomgarbage (1325) - @ $13.99, Iowa, USA - DEC 7, 2012
Side by side with The Cat. Yellow pour with a big white head. Corny malt with a bit of hay. Some bubble gum and oddly enough, resinous hops, in this one. Good carbonation for the style.

aroma is strong effort of corn sludge, slow and seeping. strong hit of infectious funk as well. appearance is urine. flavor is more of the corn sludge but maintains a level of crispness despite numbed coating mouthfeel.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 NachlamSie (2370) - Tennessee, USA - NOV 21, 2008
Tall Boy Can from Greene’s. Unleash the Cat. This is a straight up malt liquor. Strong hints at apples and corn are made, though it’s not sickly sweet. The alcohol is surprisingly hot, perhaps the thinner mouthfeel and underwhelming sweetness doesn’t mask it well. Uh, this is basically a cheap delivery method of alcohol to the system. It’s not as horrifying as I was "hoping". Just kind of mundane.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Tmoney99 (8844) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 12, 2008
Bomber bottle from Party Town, KY. Poured clear light amber color with a medium frothy white head that diminshed slowly with minimal lacing. Light grainy hop aroma. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a light grainy sweet finish of short duration. Cold wet alcohol with some character.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 arclight (1) - USA - OCT 3, 2007 does not count
Smells slightly sweet. Light straw color with a nice medium head. Tastes remarkably like very little, but the bubbles were very light and allude to a champagne yeast being used. No alcoholic aftertaste, unlike many malt liquors. Not wonderful, but at the same time, I’d drink this again before picking up a standard BudMillCoors flagship beer. A helluva lot cheaper, too, as my 40 oz was only $1.69.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Cornfield (5276) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 22, 2007
Although I’ve had a number of Malt Liquors and will continue to try them, I’m ecstatic to find one where I could buy a single 12-oz can. Typical look, yellow with a foamy head that quickly dwindles into a film. The aroma’s corn, a sweet malt of some sort, and only the slightest trace of tin. Oily, greasy palate, yet very soft mouthfeel. Fairly light flavor for a Malt Liquor but containing the proper ingredients - corn syrup, tin, malt(?), and taces of alcohol. I’ve been able to hold it down, so it’s okay.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 Silphium (2976) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 23, 2006
Beer #2 in my malt liquor reinitiation, following the incredible Laser ML. And, the picture lies, as Wild Cat now comes housed in a brown bottle, from which I drank. My overall impression is that there are better uses of corn, including tortillas, tamales, on-the-cob, and even ethanol. But skunks don’t get along too well with wild cats, so I didn’t find any of those.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drakulon (4) - Lancaster, Ohio, USA - DEC 17, 2005 does not count
This is an interesting beer. I had it in 40 format a year or so ago and it wasn’t too impressive. I just picked up a 6 pack of 16 ounce cans here a few days ago and the beer is good. The maltiness is definitely there, with the entire beer reminding me slightly of Guinness. Well worth the $2.99 I paid.
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 JohnC (3000) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JUN 21, 2005
sampled at the 2005 Nooga Swillfest.
well, for a malt liquor it was drinkable. This is one that you would consider buying based on your current economic situation

Bright gold with a thin head. The aroma is metallic with some carrots. The taste is metallic with green beans.
