Sue serves as the base beer: fermented with Brettanomyces and Yazoo’s house yeast …aged in a funky red wine barrel with dark sweet cherries and various souring microbes.

Dark in color with a tan head. Smooth and smoky with a wild flavor that turns into sour. Really interesting beer that is almost wine like in the mouth. One of the better dark sours I’ve sampled.

Chocolate, mint resin, not hop resin, but the resin you would use on a violin bow. It has a dank earthiness to it, but doesn’t really jive, the flavors aren’t really melding. Maybe with some age it will really smooth out.
