COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Classic English-style amber ale with a full, malty body and a robust hop flourish. Its rich copper color comes from British Crystal and Chocolate malts. The round maltiness is perfectly balanced with a spicy blend of Williamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang, and Cascade hops.

Pours clear copper with a well formed head of off-white. Malt dominates the aroma, but leaves a bit of hop coming through. Subdued sweet malt flavor with a pleasing dryness that makes up the finish. Decent.

A pretty good amber if you ask me. A little on the british ale taste of things, but good. Some serious malt characteristic but not in an overpowering kind of way. I enjoyed this Maryland beer, which can’t be said for a few other Frederick Breweing Co. offerings.

12oz bottle pours amber with a short offwhite head that fades quick. Aromas of caramel, and bread and some light grassy hops. Flavor is caramel, orange, some apricot, a touch of raisin even. Definite earthy feel about this one. Medium bodied, low carbonated, with a lingering sweet fruity finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear orangish brown, very little head. Aroma is full of caramel, biscuit, and malt....pretty strong for a lighter beer. Flavor is dominated by caramel maltiness; some biscuity/bready character. Some sweetness in the front. Smooth bitterness to balance. Mouthfeel is a little flat....carbonation may be a tad under, or this bottle may not be fresh. Overall, this is a pretty decent beer....not stellar, but well made and at least it has some character in a style that it dominated by a lot of tasteless beers.

Dark orange body with a thin white head. Aroma was a bit sweet and orangey. Flavor is okay - a bit of hops, a bit of malt, a bit of orangey flavor.

12 ounce bottle served in standard pint glass: Pours a clean medium amber hue topped by a fading fizzy head and some lacing. The aroma has notes of toffee and caramelized malting, prune, aromatic hops, and a hint of earthy esters. The taste is a straight forward blend of sweet malt and quickly fading grassy hops. A touch of spice is found on the aftertaste but showed little depth. The mouth feel is moderately creamy but seems to get a bit boring after awhile, is dryer on the finish that expected. Okay, a passable brew, you could do worse.
