COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Classic English-style amber ale with a full, malty body and a robust hop flourish. Its rich copper color comes from British Crystal and Chocolate malts. The round maltiness is perfectly balanced with a spicy blend of Williamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang, and Cascade hops.

Nice solid drink. Not an amber in my book, but fun to drink. Nice lasting head. Plenty of complex maltiness with a nice hoppy blitz. Not cloying at all. Very smooth.

The Amber is the best Wild goose out there in my opinion, not being a big amber fan I was impressed with the head and the slight sweet lingering aftertaste. Malt's were definentely nice and spicy!

UPDATED: OCT 20, 2004 Pours out with a solid head/lace.Decent amber.Tastes of the standard wild goose maltiness.Slight hops in there.Smooth enough on my palate to kick back a couple.Good middle of the road brew. These guys need to let there "different styles" of beer be just that. All there brews taste way too much the same IMO.I live in MD by the way.Hard to tell the difference between there amber and IPA in nose.Tastes like malta goya made a beer or somethin'?

I realy liked the aroma, very malty and rich, realy got my hopes up. The taste was somewhat of a let down, the powerful maltieness was in there, but as were some sour hops that didnt mix very well with the malt. Still the malt made it ok, but far from great.

Caramel nose. Good head and lace. Medium body that is very malty. Could be more hoppy and drier IMO. Too marzen like for an ale

This was my second favorite beer out of the sampler case. Nice color and frothy head. Goes down smoothly.

Bit of sour caramel and gluey tartness on the nose. Flat hops and low sweetness. Rubbery. Big off-white foamy lacing head. Amber-brown hazy liquid. Medium carb & body - has a little substance. Tastes a lot like an altbier. Decent malty character with low hops and nice nutty bitterness. Tart nutty finish and after. Dry.

Very good ale, this is what they're supposed to taste like! Nice color and smooth floral flavor balance with malt.
