cjw163 (109), hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2007 12 oz bottle from sample case. Poured a nice amber color. Nice taste with a lot of flavor, but has a heavy water taste (iron?) which is ok being from western PA. Smooth finish with good aftertaste.
smjohnst (111), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 4, 2008 This was pretty good for an amber ale. I am not typically a fan of ambers. This poured out nicely and had a great solid color to it. A little bit watery but a good smokey bitterness to it at the same time. blipp (675), Grand Island, New York, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a beige head. Aroma has caramel, toast, and light floral hops. Medium body. Flavor is rather light, with caramel malt and floral hops. Not bad. checkmatei1 (239), Willow Grove, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle: Poured an amber color with a fluffly white head. Too much carbonation as it look me 10 minutes or more to pour the whole thing into a glass. The aroma was faint, sweet malts and hops. The flavor was just OK. I didn’t like the aftertaste which kind of tasted metallic. Overall, not a fan of this one. arventresca (145), Greenville, North Carolina, USA Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with creamy white head. A chocolaty smell. Very good taste. Nice mildly hoppy. shadey (1319), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 19, 2008 12oz bottle. The pour is a nice amber-red color with a thin head of white cream. Some nice lacing as well. The aroma has a nice toasty sweet character that I like. The flavor is quite nice too. I can taste some of the hop varieties, although they are subtle. I’m pleasantly surprised by this unassuming little beer.
