doppelmeup (50), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jun 10, 2008 This poured a dark amber color into a pilsner glass. A fluffy, inch tall white head that left pretty good lacing on the glass all the way down.
Not a real strong aroma. Some malt, some hops, but nothing that really stood out.
Delicious, malty flavor with enough hops to balance. Very creamy, with the maltiness the primary flavor.
Mouthfeel was creamy with just a slight carbonation. It was extremely smooth.
Very drinkable beer. Before I knew it, I had already finished half the glass and was looking for more. I could drink these all day long.
Beer Guy99 (250), Maineville, Ohio, USA Nov 2, 2001 As the name suggests, this delightful ale is amber in color. It is also full of delicious flavor notes. This is Wild Goose’s original beer and it is loaded with rich, sweet malts but balanced perfectly with a fine blend of Willamette, Hallertauer, Tettnang and Cascade hops. I’ve had both the bottled version and the draft version and they’re both first class. Seek out this beer and tell your friends. Rvrndmaynard (47), Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, USA Apr 25, 2007 In the bottle at Mile Square in Hoboken. I have no idea why this beer got a 51 on here. The only reason i can come up with is that it is an amber that isn’t too hoppy. Try it if you can find it, it is too good to pass up. Hmelsicky (39), Maryland, USA Apr 3, 2002 Good local brew. One of the best Maryland has to offer. cjw163 (109), hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2007 12 oz bottle from sample case. Poured a nice amber color. Nice taste with a lot of flavor, but has a heavy water taste (iron?) which is ok being from western PA. Smooth finish with good aftertaste.
