beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA Feb 8, 2006 (02.04.06) 12 oz brown bottle purchased from Brickskeller, Washington, DC. Clear golden hued ale having a tiny white head. No discernable carbonation. Hoppy aroma. Medium bodied that starts dry with light malt sweetness and hop flavor. Middles with increasing hop bitterness. Finishes dry with lingering hop bitterness and pleasant light corn aftertaste. Could use a little more hop flavor. A good drinkable beer that is styled more like pale ale than IPA. alobar (1006), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 6, 2006 Hazy yellowish color with a malty aroma with some hops. Taste was very smooth for an IPA-not much hops bitterness from this beer. Enjoyable, but weak for an IPA. Firemoose15 (540), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 5, 2006 Bottle. Aroma toast malt light hops. Hazy off yellow. This was really odd because I expected an IPA and got an amber like flavor from it. Very malty and only a shade of hops in the finish. This was in a variety pack and really made me wonder if they didn’t mess up the labels. screigh (253), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jan 29, 2006 Poured a straw color with a small white head. Did have some minor lacing. Aroma is of stale malt. Thin and bland mouthfeel. Taste is mostly of the stale malt flavor but even that is weak. I do not get any hops in the flavor and only the slightest of bitter on my tongue for the finish. If this was a English IPA it would be substandard and for and American IPA it is horrible. Birdiebeagle (778), Perkasie, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2006 12 oz bottle Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head. Mostly malty aroma of chocolate and hay. Light body and watery not very hoppy. I had to check the bottle to make sure it was an IPA. Didn’t taste bad but seemed more like an amber ale than an IPA. stegosaurus (1882), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 3, 2006 pours a golden amber color, with a small white head, aroma is of citrus and malts and a small presence of hops, the flavor is weak for an IPA, grassy malts and a lemon flavor, not bad but not worth buying. adrian910ss (1395), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 27, 2005 Pours a light orange copperish color with a small white head. Aroma is slightly lemony with faint hints of hops. Taste is a weak IPA with slight hints of hops and citrus. Average at best. slang (392), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Dec 5, 2005 Average. Decent head over slightly hazy yellow/orage. Odd hop aroma w/some thing like lemongrass. Very mild hop bite off balance w/ sweet malt. Ehh. Maybe just an american pale.
