Nearly day-glo gold/straw hue with a foamy white head that is very short lived. Grain, hay, cookie malt. Hops are floral and very light. Musty yeast presence. Strong DMS/vegetal aroma. Not that pleasant. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter flavor becomes a moderately acidic, moderately bitter. DMS isn’t strong in the flavor...it just tastes sort of stale. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation. The bottom line is: if they bottled the word ’uninspiring’... robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

Great aroma, plentiful hops without being overwhelming. Colorful body opaque orange topped by a very thin head, low carbonation means I like it. This is a good selection that I will continue to purchase. Jonathan3584 (323), Washington, Washington DC, USA

I really enjoy the style, and it’s a fair beer for it, but this one happened to share my attention that fine evening with Bell’s Two Hearted and Alpha King. Not memorable in light of those fellows. scraff (1942), Baltimore, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 13, 2005 Sparkling darker golden, thin white head. Aromas held notes of grapefruit and fresh sweet bread. Very well bittered up front, light sweet malt hangs around, but remains bitter throughout. Lighter side of medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter-sweet finish. Nice everyday drinking IPA... Fish (439), Kure, Japan

This one was particularly light (moving towards a watery texture towards the end) but with that characteristic IPA hoppy bitter. I’d like to quote a few lines from Mary Oliver’s poem, "Wild Geese" which I think is increadibly appropriate to the occasion:
You do not have to be good...
You just have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.
