kimcgolf (824), Dacula, Georgia, USA Feb 22, 2008 A very pleasant beer! Poured to a dark orange-red with medium off-white head that lingered well and left okay lacing. Aroma, though more muted than many IPA’s, was a nice hoppy citrus, with just the right blend of malty sweetness. Mouthfeel tended to lean toward the tangy citrus hops, and the flavor pretty much followed suit with the nose. This led to a long, pleasant aftertaste, that while, again, not as pronounced as many IPA’s was enjoyable just the same. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Feb 3, 2008 Pours orangish golden with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma of mild citrus, pines and toffee. Taste is citrus, caramel, toffee, and earthy malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, lightly resinous with moderate carbonation. Not all that hoppy for an IPA, pretty drinkable though. BEERGUY007 (206), Scotia, New York, USA Jan 27, 2008 12 ounce bottle from Glenville beverage. Pours a golden color, little head little lace. Smells citrusy, tastes a little citrusy. Not a lot of hops. Bitter, but somehow not in a nice way. Hard to describe. It was an IPA I guess...so what? cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 23, 2008 Well, it was there and I needed a beer to complete my six pack discount, so there you are. IPA in character, but it takes a while to develop. Starts off rather ale-ish on the mild APA side, the lighter side. However, it morphs to get more rude as the session continues. As you drink it, it becomes more and more rude. Hoppy, almost heavy bitter linger on the finish. Yes, I have had some APA’s that were more offensive than this. Another example of beer that uses hops as a preservative, and is proud of it. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light orange coloured body with a small creamy white covering. Aroma is mostly sweet grain with some kind of plastic notes and burnt toffee. The flavour is grainy and chewy but more in a malty fashion. Very little hop flavour and somewhat difficult to conclude that this is an IPA. Drjohnrock (95), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 9, 2008 Twelve ounce bottle from The Party Source. Somewhat cloudy orange/amber color, minimal lasting head with very little lacing, aroma of hops and citrus, flavor contains suficiently bold hops for an IPA with an undercurrent of earthiness, long tangy finish. But there’s something about the taste that seems off-kilter--the earthiness isn’t altogether pleasant--and keeps this from getting a higher rating. Still, an acceptable brew and one that IPA fans should try. Rynoplasty (500), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Dec 31, 2007 Pours and orange amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is of grainy malts with a tiny bit of hops. Taste is malty and hoppy, not too bad. JamesCrosson (36), Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA Dec 28, 2007 Much better than expected. Not amazing; but I would drink again. A smooth, almost sweet taste. Very drinkable by itself or with food.
