blankboy (3165), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden-orange, quite bubbly, with an average size foamy white head. Aroma of grain, mild hops, caramel malt and a touch of alcohol. Flavour of light hops, caramel malt, grain and alcohol. I really shouldn’t taste the alcohol like this, it’s only 5.9%, maybe it isn’t alcohol, maybe it’s something else? Slightly harsh finish. Average bodied. Just alright, I don’t think I’d get it again. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Dec 23, 2007 Hazy amber, moderate head, decent lacing and retention. Aroma is floral, wood, caramel, more malt dominated. Medium bodied, strange mouthfeel. Watery and sweet with a bitter finish. Not a great IPA. mrant (330), New York, USA Dec 19, 2007 Smells strongly of floral hops, citrus bite. Pours a nice clear copper with a fairly big white pillowy head. Taste is very dry and bitter with an odd aftertaste. Can’t quite place it, maybe the alcohol presence. A tasty IPA, but nothing particularly special. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA Dec 15, 2007 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty sweet for an ipa with caramel malts, fruits, and a little citrus hops. Flavor is mostly fruits and caramel malts up front with a slightly bitter finish from the citrus hops. Too sweet for an ipa and not really that good. RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Dec 2, 2007 Had this beer on 9/14/1999. Color is a hazy gold . Aroma is malty with slight hop scent. Taste is Negative Flavor. BAD. This shit has no head and low carbonation. This beer has no flavor and a negative finish. Reminds me of Alka-Seltzer. Overall I feel its just a bad beer and a horrible IPA. Bockyhorsey (2487), Mesa, Arizona, USA Dec 2, 2007 12oz bottle coutesy of eaglefan538. Pine aroma but also some aroma like roast or coffee grounds. Copper body with decent head. Flavor had a pine resin along with some pepper. Bitter and somewhat spicey on the palate. This was one of those complex beers for me. Thanks Brian. theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Nov 25, 2007 12 oz. bottle from mj. Pour is a slightly cloudy amber with a 1 inch somewhat off white head. Aroma is initially sweet biscuit malt with some lemony citrus hops. Taste mirrors the nose, and is a nice balance between the slightly sweet malt and citrusy hops. Finish reveals a touch of grapefruit peel, and was the least pleasant part of the beer. Overall, a nice sessionable IPA. Thanks Mike! HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Nov 22, 2007 Bottle (12oz). Clear bright light copper with n average foamy light beige head. Light roast malt aroma, some citrus and lightly funky/acidic hops, but there’s something not right there - soapy, and kind of like dirt. The taste ... well, a bit plastic-y, dead but dry resin hops, soap in the linger. Light body, a bit acidic, slightly harsh linger. Not very good.
