Beer Guy99 (250), Maineville, Ohio, USA Nov 1, 2001 This is a fine IPA. I spoke with the brewer recently who told me that he has slowly brought this brew back into traditional IPA specs since taking the job Frederick Brewing a year or so ago. Previously, he was the head brewer at Great Lakes. He’s done a great job with the Wild Goose IPA. Wonderful hops aroma and flavor. Nice maltiness in the front. All in all a world class IPA. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA Nov 14, 2000 IPA’s are a favorite style, and this beer does not offend. Hoppy, crisp, clean and bold. Nice malt blend with the hop floral nose. A must try beer. dolemike1 (1116), Jeannette, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 24, 2001 Pleasant hop aroma. Surprisingly, a nice amount of malt flavor up front, with an impressive, long, bitter hop finish. The hops were not close to being overpowering, which i thought was a great thing. Although IPA’s arent usually my cup of tea, I’ll gladly drink this one any day of the week. gksailor (1), USA does not count Oct 12, 2006 Amber color. Foamy off white head. Very clean crisp taste....slightly bitter. Clean finish. SledgeJr (2957), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Apr 21, 2004 In the bottle. I'm told this brewery is about to go under. I hope not because this IPA is quite fine. Excellent buttery palate with a strong hop aroma and bittering taste. Not too much calcium sulfate, and that's probably good, but I like the gypsum to be heavy in an IPA. blatz (138), Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Florida, USA Jun 25, 2001 Just like they say on the label -- a LONG hoppy finish. Very clean and crisp -- refreshing, especially during the summer months. A top pick for me amongst IPAs. mike mcneil (660), St Augustine, Florida, USA Oct 20, 2000 Long time favorite IPA of mine. Amber color under a fluffy white, durable head. Although supposedly an English style IPA, it is generously hopped in aroma and nose. Pleasant citrus, fruity flavor. Crisp, dry finish MainerInExile (41), Bangor, Maine, USA Aug 4, 2001 Crisp, refreshing, balanced. All has been said before, and all is true. It’s a winner for me as an IPA fan.
