Or maybe my taste bud had been lulled to sleep at this point. Anyway, timid aroma but a sweetish grapefruit hop bite. Easy to drink. Dickinsonbeer (3604), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 31, 2005 Pretty bland american IPA. Aroma is slightly citrusy but a stale caramel malt taste comes through to take away from the hops. Moderately smooth finish but nothing is really there. Disappointing. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 22, 2003 A crystal clear golden amber body is topped by a thick off-white lasting head with a decent amount of lace. Sour and slightly bitter hoppy aroma with hints of sweet maltiness. Slightly sweet hoppy flavor with an underlying bitterness and a touch of malt. The finish is long and very bitter from the hops. Medium bodied, relatively smooth and a touch dry. AskForJenny (660), Ontario, New York, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 19, 2002 Soapy, hoppy aroma imparting verbose hop flavor supported by roasted nut, caramel, and toast accents. The astringency is manageable, allowing the subtler characteristics to round off some of the smacking, not quite stinging, hop bite. I was pleasantly surprised. hennes (932), Fountain, Michigan, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 7, 2003 This is interesting - the thing looks unexceptional and has very little aroma, and the first sip is almost balnd - a touch of hops and a musty maltiness. Butit just needs to get its engine warmed. As it goes, the hops open up until the finish is long and bitter and rather beautiful. Interesting. ravidesai (915), Bombay, India

well hopped and hasa citrusy edge but lacks a malt balance and depth to compete with other micro IPAs. Darkover (1318), Columbus, Ohio, USA
