wilkie (1045), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Apr 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, with chocolate and caramel, very sweet. Flavor is there but not really well mixed. Sweetness, with dark malts, but the malts kind of hit you initially, and then melt away. Caramel is very strong in the flavor. Kind of ehh.
checkmatei1 (222), Willow Grove, USA Jul 10, 2008 Bottle: Poured a dark brown with not much head. The aroma was somewhat nutty and spicy. The flavor was sweet, nuts, and toffee. It seemed a tad watered down but good flavor nonetheless. Overall, a decent brown ale but not the best.
