Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, with chocolate and caramel, very sweet. Flavor is there but not really well mixed. Sweetness, with dark malts, but the malts kind of hit you initially, and then melt away. Caramel is very strong in the flavor. Kind of ehh.

Jul 10, 2008 Bottle: Poured a dark brown with not much head. The aroma was somewhat nutty and spicy. The flavor was sweet, nuts, and toffee. It seemed a tad watered down but good flavor nonetheless. Overall, a decent brown ale but not the best.

Jul 5, 2008 Updated: Jul 6, 2008Pours translucent amber/brown with fast receding light tan head. Very nutty aroma. Nice sweet toasted nut flavor with some chocolate. Somewhat of a light body, a respectable brown ale with a nice nutty flavor.

Jun 17, 2008 The aroma is nutty with malt and grain husks. The appearance is light brown with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma and nutty but watery. Overall it’s OK but not great.

May 30, 2008 Sweet malts on the nose, hints of a toastiness. Pours a clear amber brown with no head. Slightly nutty flavor with some spicy hops, somewhat watery. Not much here.
