12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a thin tan head which dissipated. Nose was of cigarette tobacco. taste was of some coffee. Mouthfeel was thin for a stout. Not impressed.

Pours a dark, coffee brown. Aroma is rich and woody. A little toasty nut hint. Flavor is warm....sweet...good roasty malt flavor. Also a bit of dark chocolate on the back of the tongue. A little bit thin though. Overall, pretty solid brew.

Pours near black with a fully receding tan ehad. Aroma of oatmeal, sweet chocolate malt, toasted malt. Tastes of mild chocolate, light sweetness, smoothness lended by oatmeal. Medium to full bodied, lively carbonation.

Bottle. Rich aroma: malt, oats, nuts, chocolate, roasted barley. Sweet and slightly acidic. Rich, smooth malt and oat taste. Sweet and creamy, with the burnt flavor kicking in a bit later and lasting a long time. Long finish of burnt wood and roasted nuts. Thick palate, creamy and smooth. Very nice all around with great balance and pretty good complexity. Slightly too sweet and acidic for me.

Opaque thin light brown head. Aroma is toasted malt. Fairly thin light palate mild roasty flavor. Quaffable but a little lacking in body and character.

Slightly metallic hazelnut caramel aroma. The flavor echoes the aroma pretty closely. A bit thin, but not bad.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a fizzy tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, toast, and caramel. Medium body. Flavor is similar to the aroma, but with a bit more coffee present. A very average stout.

It had a good stout flavor but not even a slight hint of oatmeal flavor. Has a good dark color and good body but just doesn’t REALLY impress.

A nearly black stout with hints of red in the light and a small finger of tan head with a nice lacing. Lovely nose with that typical oatmeal stout sweetness and some plums and warm dark fruit. Nice and creamy on the tongue, the taste is plums and chocolate along with the smooth oatmeal finish. A nice solid oatmeal stout.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2008 The aroma is really nice with chocolate, coffee, toasted malt, and a hint of hops. The appearance is dark brown with a thin head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall a nice beer.
