3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a lighter brown from the bottle. Nice concave mocha head. Body is Light to Medium and mellow and sweet. A light crisp toastiness ends the whole thing out. I expected a bit more in the body and the mouthfeel was a skoash watery. Two of these snuck up on me, it could have been the firepace too. Either way this rainy day was passed well with both. Thanks to my wife for bringing a mess of Wild Goose products back from her training in Frederick. What a woman.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A pleasant surprise from a brewer Iíve not had much experience with. Pours to a dark brown, with a thick tan head that lingers through mid-glass and leaves okay. Aroma is a malty mix of chocolate, caramel, roasted nuts, and I actually did detect oatmeal. Surprisingly, though only 5.9% abv, the scent of alcohol was also present, especially as the beer warmed.
Mouthfeel is full and slightly sweet, with a tinge of hoppy bitterness at the end, and the flavor picks up the flavors found in the nose.
This rounds off to a long, smooth, slightly warming finish. Not a bad beer at all.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours from the bottle a dark chocolatey brown. Thick tan head. Some coating on the glass, not much. Tastes smooth, some chocolate and coffee notes. Sweet upfront, hoppy finish. Not a bad beer, but filling. Also leaves a weird coating in your mouth.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Poured a dark brown almost black. Thick but fast dissipating brown head. Sweet chocolate oatmeal scent to it. No real oatmeal taste to it.. more of a coffee and chocolate. Seems a bit thin for a stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Being a Marylander, Iíve had quite a few Wild Goose beers over the years. If Iím not mistaken, this beer used to be 6.5%. They changed the recipe a few years back. Black and stained glass red color. Sweet and a little roasty with mild hop balance. I prefer the old version, but itís still a pretty good offering.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a deep ruby-brown with a spare fast-diminishing tan head. Aroma of lightly roasted caramel malt, notes of coffee & chocolate and yes, some oatmeal. Flavour, which is a tad watery for a Stout, of toasted malt, coffee, oatmeal and light hops. Light roasty bitter finish. Medium bodied. Not bad, simply a good Oatmeal Stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
July 2006 - This was really surprisingly good for a beer 6.50 a sixer. Beer poured dark, dark brown with head that dissipated rather quickly. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavor is smokey and roasty with some oatmeal. Some lactic milky flavor along with an odd sweet flavor that I canít place. Rich flavor and tingly mouthfeel. Very pleasant.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours black with no head. Aroma is some roasted malt. To me the flavor is very weak for a stout. Some roast malt but very watery in the finish.
