clueo (88), Pennsylvania, USA Feb 1, 2008 The pour and settling are mild as is oatmeal smell. The flavor is a bit of coffee with a nice smooth finish. Overall a nice smooth stout.
lithy (86), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jul 22, 2008 A nearly black stout with hints of red in the light and a small finger of tan head with a nice lacing. Lovely nose with that typical oatmeal stout sweetness and some plums and warm dark fruit. Nice and creamy on the tongue, the taste is plums and chocolate along with the smooth oatmeal finish. A nice solid oatmeal stout. nick76 (1970), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 17, 2008 The aroma is really nice with chocolate, coffee, toasted malt, and a hint of hops. The appearance is dark brown with a thin head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall a nice beer. Palidor19 (1207), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 17, 2008 brings some nice flavors, starting with the aroma is a nice coffee-chocolate bar aroma. palate is a little weak the malts give a nice flavor and the hops are standard for this style. still the flavor all work. GMUcrew7 (158), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2008 Pours dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Very faint nut and milky aroma. Very nice sweet milk chocolate and nutty flavor with a mild hop finish for a nice mocha-like finish. Fairly light body with a nice sticky finish. bag (83), Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 1, 2008 From bottle... poured very dark brown. Small head. Weak nutty aroma. Flavor was pretty good... lightly sweet and malty. Not very deep, and more thin than I expected from an oatmeal stout. Easy to drink, but maybe too easy. Still, I’ll give it another shot for sure.
