Jul 5, 2008 Pours very nice deep red color with small tan head. Nice aroma of roasted chocolate malt, but somewhat faint. Flavor is similar, good creamy roasted chocolate flavor with a nice bitterness for excellent balance. Decent beer with good flavor, but a little light on aroma and body.

Mar 23, 2008 Oct. 2007 - Dark pour, pinky finger head and lacing. Weak aroma of roast. Flavor was smooth and chocolatey, with some roasted coffee. Not overly strong, but smooth going down. Not bad.

Feb 20, 2008 Bottle 12 fl. oz. Pours a reddish black with a small tan head and a sweet dark chocolate-like aroma. The flavor is sweet, chocolate-like with burned malts and bitterness too. The finish is a tad bitter and sweet creamy. Nice beer

Jan 19, 2008 Pours dark brown with small tan head. Roasted malt on the nose. Taste is some roasted malt with a creamy finish. A little bit of bitterness is present also. Very enjoyable beer.

Jan 3, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Dorwart. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Smells vegetal with some chocolate and spice. Tastes of chocolate with some underlying spice, but it’s hard to get past the grassy quality this beer seems to possess.
