COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Appearing almost black at first glance, Wild Goose Porter is actually a deep ruby-red ale. Roasted malt flavors accent its velvety finish.

Very good porter. Dark and thick with the amount of chocolate and coffee hops necessary for a great robust porter.

Big frothy head with rather large bubbles. Good combination of dark malt and earthy hops in the nose. Flavor is of easy-going chocolate punctuated rather nicely with restrained citric hops, some esters and dark grain bitterness. Nice body to this porter.

Deep ruby color when held up to the light, with an attractive brown head that leaves good lace. Nice roasted grain nose. Heavy roasted coffee bean flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. Good porter.

ruby red color; huge head, everlasting lace; smokey aroma leads to smokey taste, very malty--i miss chocolate aspects of other porters.

Nice dark-brown body with small tan head. Aroma is coffee, medium sweet. Taste is coffee-chocolate malty, medium sweet, with mild bitterness in finish. Palate is creamy, and fairly thick for a porter.

Very good porter, smooth and nicely malted. It has a bit of an aftertaste, maybe due to the hops.

Small head, ruby-black colored. Roasty aroma. Hops are bitter in the middle and leave a slight aftertaste. Chocolate and/or black malt flavor detected. A bit too dry for my taste. I prefer a little sweeter porters.
