3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ron (1574) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUL 23, 2007
Had a bottle of this to celabrate my daughter scoring the last goal of the season during thier last game. 12 oz. bottle. Deep brown, almost black, body with a good thick brown head. I didn’t get much aroma, but a bit of chocolate and toasted malts. Flavor is of vanilla and chocolate with a toasty note. Palate is quite smooth.

Bottle. Coffee and dark chocolate aroma. Dark brown with moderat head. Strong coffee and malt flavor with a sharp acidic bite. Moderate carbonation. Very nice flavor but less smooth than the average porter.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Derek881 (664) - Frederick, Maryland, USA - JUN 4, 2007
Poured from bottle into pint glass. A blackish color, but some dark red tint as mentioned. The head was small and a creamy off-white color, but was gone quickly. The aroma was roasty malt, with some nuts, caramel, and maybe chocolate; touch of earthy or grainy hops. Taste was sweet and bitter mixture, some sourness beneath. The beer was sweet and creamy tasting, with only low carbonation. It had a moderately dry finish and was a touch oily. Perhaps my first porter beer, and I was pleased with this local brew.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jb (1540) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 1, 2007
Very handsome - reddish brown with a thin but lasting head. Toasty toastedness tickles my tongue. Nutty taste as well. Palate has a nice backbone (that came out as it warmed). Aroma-wise has a coffee bean aroma

12 oz. bottle via trade with decaturstevo - Pours a clear dark brown color with a 3/4 finger thick light tan head. Light spotty lacing. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor is much of the same. Has a slight fizz mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Could use a little tweaking, but very drinkable. Thanks Steve.
