This frothy ale is made with 9 different specialty malts, 100% English Fuggle hops, and nearly 300 pounds of real pumpkin. During and after the boil, we add a subtle blend of fresh-ground spices, resulting in a very smooth and malty, complex ale with noble hop and spice aroma. We hope you will get a chance to enjoy this limited offering, and no, it’s not just a glass of grandma’s pumpkin pie, it’s still a beer.

The bar I work at has bottles of Wild Goose Pumpkin Patch to appease any regulars yearning for a pumpkin beer. Pumpkin Patch has a nutmeg spice fragrance, thin head and tawny color. Plenty of spice, not much pumpkin. Agreeable beer thanks to all the malts.

Bottle: Fiery amber, clear, thin off-white head, moderate lacing, lively carbonation.   Fairly strong spiced nose, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg.   Slight hint of pumpkin bread.   Somewhat weak spiced flavor, subtle tartness, finishes quickly with a lingering sourness thats very soft and subtle.   A bit more spiced on the back of the tongue tho.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Not half bad, great nose, but not as robust on the tongue.   Those that don’t want overly spiced pumpkin beers will like this one.   Thanks Eric!

Pours to a clear glowing red-hued orangish body with a thin rapidly- and fully- disapating white head. The aroma is a strong pumpkin flesh and a pumpkin pie spice. Smells mostly like pumpkin flesh. Smells very nicely made. I almost want to give it an 8 on aroma. The flavor is a strong pumpkin, nutmeg, light brown sugar, light English hops, like a decently made pumpkin pie. The palate is sorta creamy, yet sorta watery, and drying. I didn’t mind it too much. This is a decently made pumpkin beer.

Bottle. Poured a transparent medium amber-orange with not very much head retained. Aroma was full or nutmeg and pumpkin, and became almost sticky-sweet as this warmed. Flavor picked up a sweet liquid pumpkin pie... pumpkin, nutmeg, brown sugar, and ginger. Light on the palate. The flavors were present at the very front of the mouth, absent in the middle, and converged at the top of the throat... very poor transition through the mouth.. but otherwise tasty.

Another year, another crop of pumpkin beer. This one has a really nice aroma - plenty of pumpkin and spice and it smells fresh. Bright clear orange body, short head, very little lacing. Taste is pleasant - sweet pumpkin pie, but not overly cloying (palate is light), slight hoppy dryness as it warms

Pours a basic orange color with almost no head after an aggressive pour. Sweet pumpkin aroma with hints of cinnamon and brown sugar. Well balanced pumpkin flavor with a healthy dose of cinnamon and just a hint of bitter hops. Rather enjoyable.

Dark orange body that approaches amber, The head is light tan and yellow. The aroma is dominated by nutmeg and pumpkin. There is also some sweet ginger bread. The taste has some bread crust and a little bit of spice that hits you in the back of the throat. The spice is confused with nutmeg and some allspice. The mouthfeel is crisp with a dry finish. This is a decent pumpkin beer, but the spices dominate the pumpkin character.

Dark copper color with a moderate bubbly taupe head. Does smell like pumpkin pie, complete with a touch of crust. It’s somewhat typical that the ginger does overpower the aroma and that does seem to be the case here as well. Still a very pleasant enough scent. Quite dry with a real pumpkin flavor. The spices seem to dry things out as well really making me thirsty. I could use a little more malt depth in this one.
