Oct 15, 2004 Clear brownish orange in color with a nice tan head. Malty, fruity aroma. Malty flavor. Roasty. Full bodied. Very drinkable. Hop flavor with some hop bitterness. No hop in the aroma. Nice beer.

Aug 27, 2004 Brown color with hues of orange when held to the light. Caramel malt, light peat and hint of hops in the aroma. Heavy and robust are a good start after the first swig. These apply to both the flavor and the palate. Very roasty and touch fruity in flavor. Lacks much of a linger aside from a mild hops bitterness. Thanks to DocLock for sending this my way.

Jun 2, 2004 Pours brownish/amber, with decent head. Aroma of malt, some spiciness, and toffee. Tastes and finishes malty, spicy, and sweet. A nice holiday winter ale.

May 19, 2004 Nice golden brown pour, fair tan head. Sweet malty aroma has a bit of musty earthyness to it and some notes of hops and spices. Flavor seemed very balanced nutty if anything with some kind of different tartness. Finishes mildly bitter and a bit dry. Not bad.

Feb 15, 2004 This is like two beers in one. Very malty up front (fruity, caramel and a little bit sour). The finish is bitter and hoppy to the point that it makes you forget about the beginning.

Feb 14, 2004 (Bottle) Pours a large, beige, foamy head with a deep red body. Nose of cascade and goldings hops. Slight lactic flavour. Very malty with a chocolate undertone. Good. Many thanks to Argo0 for giving this to me!

Feb 9, 2004 Deep, clear, reddish brown appearance. Muted aroma with a spicy, somewhat nutty flavor. Well carbonated. Bitter, hoppy finish.
