| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 27, 2004 Brown color with hues of orange when held to the light. Caramel malt, light peat and hint of hops in the aroma. Heavy and robust are a good start after the first swig. These apply to both the flavor and the palate. Very roasty and touch fruity in flavor. Lacks much of a linger aside from a mild hops bitterness. Thanks to DocLock for sending this my way. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Tastes and finishes malty, spicy, and sweet. A nice holiday winter ale. tidiaguy (168), Hawley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 19, 2004 Nice golden brown pour, fair tan head. Sweet malty aroma has a bit of musty earthyness to it and some notes of hops and spices. Flavor seemed very balanced nutty if anything with some kind of different tartness. Finishes mildly bitter and a bit dry. Not bad. SiddFinch (154), Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 15, 2004 This is like two beers in one. Very malty up front (fruity, caramel and a little bit sour). The finish is bitter and hoppy to the point that it makes you forget about the beginning. CapFlu (3481), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
