Lightly spiced -- molasses, toffee, toast -- with a hint of hop bitterness and a vague peppery overtone. Not bad. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 28, 2003 Bottle. Looks good in a glass, dark brown with red highlights when held to the light and a creamy off-white head. Aroma is like honey roasted malts with abundant winter spices and some floral hops. Flavor is sweet and smooth with a little bite of nutmeg and clove and a bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation make this one an all around pleasant winter ale. I enjoyed this and was pleased to find it. I dout I'll run across it again, but wouldn't turn it down. egajdzis (3621), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2003 Poured a reddish copper color with a medium sizes off white head and some lacing. Weak aroma of fruit, malt, and hops. Taste of caramel maltiness, some bittering hops at the end. I tried to find more, but this was just average. Very drinkable however, thanks for hooking me up argo0! LordHedgehog (144), Westminster, Maryland, USA

Slight cola taste, but overall a very nice medium to full bodied beer with subtle spice flavors. Definately a winter ale to bring home for Christmas. BBB63 (4228), La Porte, Indiana, USA

Aroma is fruity, woody, touch of toasted malt and aromatic hops. The taste is initially malty swet and fruity tart. Spicy and acidic on teh finish. Lively and chalky mouthfeel. Overall solid average brew, nothing that special however. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
