bottle: Poured a dark brown color. The aroma was cloves, pepper, citrus and maybe some basil. The flavor was good, sweet malts and spice. Overall, an awesome winter beer.

12oz bottle. Pours a burnt sienna in the chimay glass. Small white head dissipates. Some cloves, and corriander swirl then disappear round the thinner medium body that goes al bit chalky at finish. thanks to the wife again forbringingt this one home for me.

Bottle: Nice dark brown pour with a disappointing very thin off white head. Caramel, oak and light alcohol scent. Flavor is full of hops and a light kick of alcohol.

Tasted 3/28/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered and amber hued. Finger width of dense off-white ehad. Medium bodied and big and bright. Lotta spice and a lotta malt. Nice palate. Flavors of pepper and cilantro and a slight touch of mint. Toasty sticky malts. Mild alcohol note. Honey toffee and dry dark chocolate. Muted yet tasty.

Jan. 2007 - Beer poured dark brown, chocolate aroma with HUGE head...it took 10 minutes to split the bomber into two glasses. Big pillowy head that left a nice foam even until the last foamy sip. Nice lacing. About as good as it gets. Rich full roasty flavor with chocolate and milky/lactic hints at the end. Some bitterness from hops. Very tasty.
