Slightly hoppy aroma froma deep amber body with a white head. Mostly malt flavor with a touch of yeast spiceyness. I just don’t like this beer. Can’t put my finger on it, but i don’t like it.

on tap at market cross, Shippensburg: Nose is full or toasty malt character, no hop presence in the nose, and maybe a hint of tofee. came off the tap dark amber, but not quite brown and transparent with a thin film of head. Flavor was quite nice and toasty, with a slighty roasted edge and loads of malt flavors. hops kicked in in the finish and provided a nice balance and addicting tinge of bitterness, very clean flavor no yeast flavors detected. mouthfeel was medium bodied, normal amount of carbonation. quite tasty

Bottle. Appearance: Dark red amber with thin off white head. Aroma: Sweet malt. Caramel, and hops. Palate: Medium body, carbonated. Flavor: Pretty sweet tasting. Some fruity notes as well as some cinnamon/spice as it warms. Overall: Decent beer, easy drink.

Pours dark brown with a small off white head that leaves a small amount of lacing. Aroma is very sweet and malty. The taste is very sweet as well, with a strange taste accompanying it that seems to be in every Wild Goose beer I have tried. Very decent for the price.

Bottle obtained from HogTownHarry. Deep red-amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is light but pleasant, with some toasted malt and caramel, and a faint spiciness. Medium bodied. Nice flavour, with sweet malt off the top, followed by some raisin and candied orange peel notes, and a moderately bittered finish. I’m not sure what the folks comparing this to a stout or a porter were drinking, as it didn’t resemble those in the least. Just a slightly above-average strong ale.

Nice winter warmer. Mealy aroma with very little head. Light brown lacing. Caramel initial taste with little hops. Seems like a cross between a porter and a stout. Just enough spice to add.

Not wintery enough for me... more like a porter. Nice flavors ... tofee, nutmeg, lots of malted barley.

12 oz bottle-Dark amber color w/no head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor of roasted nuts, caramel, dark malt, & toffee w/a trace of spice. Rich, full mouthfeel w/ a long full malt finish. Just the right touch of bitterness on the finish. This was a very good sample of this style. Easy drinking brew, quite enjoyable.
