We brew our Strong Golden Ale all-grain, giving it a deep and complex taste.

Belgian aromatic malts add hints of dried fruit, while generous Noble and West Coast hops deliver an earthy spiciness. It finishes semi-dry with lingering tropical fruits and spicy notes from Belgian yeast.

Suggested food pairings: Roasted chicken, grilled pork chops, salmon, Portobello mushrooms, Gouda or Gruyere cheese.

Note: Formerly contract brewed at Thomas Creek.

Cloudy orange, with a huge white head. Smells nice - some apples and pears, then some spicy notes - cinnamon, I guess. Flavor seems kind of like a tripel - yeasty, some booze, some hop bite. Not bad.

12oz bottle from TBS, thanks Matt. Rating #39. Hazy bright orange/yellow color with a real nicely lacing off-white head. Yeasty and peppery aroma, a little sweet as well with a touch of funk. Big belgian flavor, a little sweet with some lemony citrus that makes for an acidic bite in the finish. Pretty tasty overall. (1992)

12 ounce thanks to Debi. No adjunct sugars? This is super sweet. But it fades into a really nice triple with a lot of yeast and flavor. Very well done.

Twelve ounce bottle obtained at Natifest ’11 in trade with decaturstevo (thanks!). Large tan head that diminished slowly with good lacing, strong sweet malty aroma with plenty of citrus elements, cloudy medium amber hue, initial bittersweet taste (sweetness dominates) followed by sweet sugary finish. Interesting brew.

Beautiful beer. Perfect rocky meringue head. Hazy light amber body. One of the best spicy yeast aromas I’ve smelled in an American beer of this style. Body isn’t too sweet for the hop bitterness, lemon zest fruitiness, and spicy yeast. Maybe the perfect Belgian gold. Shocked this is American made.

Bottle courtesy of Craftbeerdesign (thanks Geoff) poured a hazy tarnished gold with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of straw biscuit, pineapple and light spice. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, earthiness and lighjt spoice with a crisp dry lingering earthy finish.

Growler shared thanks to Dmac. Pours out a moderate light copper color with a small white head. Aroma is of spicy yeast, some fruits and a light nod to alcohol. taste is fruity Belgian yeast, some banana, clove, light hop bitterness and a light, dry finish.

Growler from TheBeerSommelier, thanks M. Opened with a good burst of carbonation rushing out so that was a good sign. The pour was perfect and you never would have known that this was from a growler that was well over a month old and had been shipped several hundred miles. A deep solid red/orange body sits underneath a large full foamy white head. Aroma is grainy and bready with notes of Belgian yeast, some rotting fruit and pepper. Fuller bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish with some lingering flavors. Flavor is dry bread, hint of lemons, light pepper, Belgian yeast. Good stuff and then considering the way this one was served it bumps it up a notch or two.

A couple pours of this from a 4 oz. taster glass. 4.5 A: Clear medium orange color. One finger of creamy beige head with average retention and tons of lacing. 4.5 S: Lots of pepper and clove spiciness. Peach fruitiness and perhaps a touch of apple. Moderate barnyard funk. Really nice. 4.5 T: Again, lots of clove and pepper with peach and apple fruitiness. Mild barnyard funk. Touches of hay. 4.0 M: Ligher medium body. Good active carbonation. Could be creamier though. 4.5 D: Really good beer. That is all. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 07-18-2011 00:34:40

Pours hazy golden amber color w/ a solid white head. Plenty of yeast in the nose. Also aromas of citrus, bread and grain. Crisp carbonation w/ smooth medium body. A little syrupy, but not cloying. Familiar belgian yeast flavor dominates along with a fruity sweetness, w/ notes of pepper and some hops. Slight bitterness in the finish. Excellent beer and I’m looking forward to this brewery once they get up and running.
