COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Let There Be Light is the first “sessionable” beer by the brewery, clocking in at only 4.7% ABV. Rethink your approach to light beers, because this “Light” beer is full of flavor. Eric Johnson brewed Let There Be Light with Nelson Sauvin and Sorachi Ace hops, barley, wheat, and orange peel. The beer is complex and light bodied, without a lot of alcohol to slow down your drinking session.

Pours a clear dark golden with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled pale golden tan head. Aroma has malty, wheaty and fruity tones with a woody hint of hops. Flavor has a malty core plus fruity and wheaty/yeasty notes and a woody hop tone that suggests it was dry-hopped. Texture has good body and fizz. This is definitely a good beer for sipping on a hot day while relaxing on the porch.

Light amber pour with lots of carbonation and not too much foam. The smell had a malty base, but some earthiness and spice in there. The taste followed adding in some hop bitterness.Nice low alcohol beer. Definitely interesting enough to have a few.

Growler. Clear amber pour with a small white head. Aroma was biscuity, good bit of caramel and a light lemony/citrusy hop presence. Flavors were light all around, bits of caramel, some earthy hops and a biscuity maltiness. Mouthfeel was medium to light with a nice caramel driven finish. Carbonation just about standard which is nice. Overall this drank very nicely outside with friends. Truly sessionable. A nice offering.

On tap at le brickstore. Pots a deep gold color. Little caramel aroma. The finish is where it’s at here though with a nice herbal taste and spicey bite. A really nice drink and with more presence than some porters I’ve had.

On draught at Trappeze Pub. Pours a dense amber color with fine bubbnle white head and lace. Nontraditional hop aroma and flavor. Very E*rtht character. Minimal malt presence. Hop bitterness dominates. Not a pleasant collaboration of flavors.

growler. clear orange pour with small, bubbly, white head. biscuits, dough, and zesty limey tropical hop notes. leaves an interesting earthy, grassy note in the finish behind a lime, grape and doughy malt flavor. light body and bubbly.

On tap at Hop City, Atlanta. Warm color with a nose full of flowers. Despite the smell, floral hops don’t overwhelm this brew. A good session beer,

Pours hazy gold with soapy whir head. Rye and citrus peel on the nose-interesting. Palate is medium bodied with a definite grapefruit rind flavor and still that note of rye. I don’t dislike it...it’s interesting... I do’t know if I love it though.

Growler pour into pint glass. Nice copper in color, clear, thin soapy head. Unique aroma: lite citrus, hops, honey. Thin to medium bodied. Sweet, hoppy taste upfront followed by an uneventful middle. Finishes strong though with some tasty nutty and sweet biscuit flavors. Slightly dry. Overall, a very nice drinkable new brew from Wild Heaven. Like their other beers, very unique!
