caesar (2574), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 9, 2008 Tap @ brewpub. Clear orange color, short head. Aroma of grapefruit, bit sweetish. Malty body, bitter, grapefruit, citrus. Decent pale ale. acrdz (4376), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jul 8, 2008 Updated: Oct 6, 2008Draft at the brewery. Unfiltered cloudy dark copper colored body with a white head and medium-to-thick lacing. Dry-hopping very evident, catty, resinous hops, actually resembles American ESB, musty pine and orange hops in the nose and tasted throughout as well. A malty nose of bread crust/toast stands up solidly on the palate, medium to full body, with some weird filmy carbonation issues noticed, but nothing too distracting or annoying. Fresh, delicious, well integrated toast/bran/bread crust with the mildly dry/catty orange flavored hops, with IPA/ESB-level bitterness. Quite good.
