COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An intense Double IPA brewed for the "hopheads" of the world. This robust ale is so full of malt and hops that you can almost chew on it. Served in a snifter to bring out all of the nuances of malt, hop, and alcohol.

Tap - small foamy head, dark amber color, nice hop flavor with a good malt backing

Can. Dark dirty orange brown pour a little carbonation and a medicinal hop aroma. Flavor is heavy malt, syrupy subdued bitter oranges and hops and some noticeable alcohol. Not bad, but there are more enjoyable DIPA’s for the money.

I find this a tad overrated. Nice orangy pour with frothy off white cream head. Citrus and floral nose. The hops are actually too hoppy. They drown out all the malt which is there but undetectable due to the hops. rather than complementing the malt, the hops completely kill it.

Can supplied for trick-or-treating by ck1 - thanks bro! Aroma has fresh sweet citrusy fruit, in spades. Some hoppy grassy blend and some pine, but fresh fruit. Taste brings pineapple, mango (I always think mango, at least) and pine. Finishes sweet and a bit syrupy. Very nice and surprising! A different take on a double ipa with the flavors. ck1 thought far superior to having it on tap.

Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on the Friday of Halloween weekend, just waiting to see some bad costumes over the weekend. Appearance is a cloudy vibrant golden amber with a rich white head that laces to the glass. Aroma of pure hops, somewhere between citrus and floral, a bit of bready malt in the back end. Taste is overtly bitter, like rip the enamel from your tooth bitter, and the citrus notes give it kind of a sweet / sour like quality, but not in a bad way. Heavy body, medium carbonation, definitely on the sweeter side for the style, not bad though.

Can to snifter. Pours hazy amber with a big foamy kahki head that rests to a foamy film. Aroma is pungent grapefruit and spruce with a funky caramel sweetness. Taste is bitter piny hops and appricots and a caramel sweetness and rye breadiness. Palate is full and sticky with a chaulky dry finish.

Huge IPA. Heavy and hoppy but not slap you in the face hoppy. Comparable to Hopslam, one of my favorites. Good job on this local beast

Pours a hazy dark amber with a 2 finger, oily beige head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, floral and spicy hops, sweet malt, caramel and hay. Flavor is big grapefruit and citrus peel, toast, sweet malt, caramel, hints of stone fruit and spice, finishes with bitter citrus. Palate is pretty heavy for 8%, with a slick, slightly creamy entry, medium carbonation and dry, somewhat astringent finish. Not a bad IIPA, but the whole experience is a bit quick. At first sip it seems nice, but the palate dries out quickly, compelling you to gulp it down and it doesn’t have much for fading flavors after that. The astringency wouldn’t be bad if it didn’t come on almost immediately.

Can. Pours a slightly haze deep copper caramel color with a big fluffy light tan head. Head slowly settles, leaving sticky lace. Citrus and caramel in the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty citrus rind bitterness with a strong malt backbone. Hop resin. Lingering bitterness. Nice lace left on the glass. Overall, not bad but a little "thick".

An orange-brown pour with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of orange, grass, and some light bubblegum. The medium body has an oily texture with average carbonation. The taste is bitter with some mild flashes of sweetness and a long bitter finish.
