An intense Double IPA brewed for the "hopheads" of the world. This robust ale is so full of malt and hops that you can almost chew on it. Served in a snifter to bring out all of the nuances of malt, hop, and alcohol.

Huge IPA. Heavy and hoppy but not slap you in the face hoppy. Comparable to Hopslam, one of my favorites. Good job on this local beast

Pours a hazy dark amber with a 2 finger, oily beige head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, floral and spicy hops, sweet malt, caramel and hay. Flavor is big grapefruit and citrus peel, toast, sweet malt, caramel, hints of stone fruit and spice, finishes with bitter citrus. Palate is pretty heavy for 8%, with a slick, slightly creamy entry, medium carbonation and dry, somewhat astringent finish. Not a bad IIPA, but the whole experience is a bit quick. At first sip it seems nice, but the palate dries out quickly, compelling you to gulp it down and it doesn’t have much for fading flavors after that. The astringency wouldn’t be bad if it didn’t come on almost immediately.

Can. Pours a slightly haze deep copper caramel color with a big fluffy light tan head. Head slowly settles, leaving sticky lace. Citrus and caramel in the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty citrus rind bitterness with a strong malt backbone. Hop resin. Lingering bitterness. Nice lace left on the glass. Overall, not bad but a little "thick".

An orange-brown pour with a light tan head. The aroma has notes of orange, grass, and some light bubblegum. The medium body has an oily texture with average carbonation. The taste is bitter with some mild flashes of sweetness and a long bitter finish.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2011 Hazy oragish brown with a two finger head creamy and lacing.Good hop aroma pine spice some floral and fruit with malt.Taste is smooth malty creamy, orange like sweetness with a bittering finish that is not all that bitter but enough to finish it off with a lingering bitterness and hop presence, hop flavor is somewhat orangish pine, resiony/grassy-mildly with a bit of that roasted malt kind of bitterness.Solid very good well made double ipa, delicious and kind of refreshing with the mellow citrusness of the hops. One of the best or the best local ipa ive had.

Pours cloudy with a white head. A sweetness that hit me right off the bat and that was so unexpected! Loved this double IPA. Had never heard of this brewery and will visit soon!

Pours a hazy orange/amber color with a pretty big off white head. Lots of rising bubbles. Aroma is grapefruity due to the dry hopping. Taste is pretty hoppy, dominates the flavor a bit much. Theres also a caramely sweet roasted malt character along with a butteriness.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2013 12 oz can. It is a middle of the road double ipa. It doesn’t rape you with hops but it also doesn’t excite you with malt. But it still isn’t too bad.

Pours a great looming orange opaque with a perfect head. Aroma is great, light and soft. Flavor is sour, like a grapefruit. A little strong, but tasty. I appreciate the beer in this style not being so heavy with the malted hops.
