COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An intense Double IPA brewed for the "hopheads" of the world. This robust ale is so full of malt and hops that you can almost chew on it. Served in a snifter to bring out all of the nuances of malt, hop, and alcohol.

Can from Mari’s. Pours hazy light brown with a finger and a half of slightly off-white head that is sticky and has good retention. The aroma has big caramel notes, some citrus, some earthy hop notes. The taste has a medium sized bitter hit but is not drying on the tongue. There is a big caramel balance with a little citrus. If I had to guess, I’d think Centennial hops are creating the big earthiness of the taste. Middle of the road.. nothing exciting but a pretty nice, dirty, earthy IPA.

Highly aromatic: floral, citrus, fruity, and earthy hops. Hop flavor is pine and resin like. High IBUs but very balanced with the malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can poured into glass. Always jazzed to try new beers out of cans! This might have been a little old. Not a lot going on, aroma or flavor wise. The hop aroma was sort of dead, as was the floral grapefruit aspect. An easy drinking DIPA but I’d love to try it again when it’s fresh.

Part of a flight at Park Tavern. Deep orange color, sweet citrus aroma. The taste as other reviewers have also mentioned is quite unique for this style. Very rich flavor, very malty, and the hop profile was all sweet orange and honey, a liquid dreamsicle. Actually kind of liked it, with the caveat that i only had 3 oz. of it, may have been a bit too sweet if having a full bottle. Nice unique take overall.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is citrus rine with some dank hop resin. Flavor is sweet at first then come a bit of pine/citrus hop. Finish has some hop bitterness. I would not call this an imperial IPA as the hoppyness is there but not over the top. Still as an IPA this is soild.

Canned. Poured clear, lighter orange with a short, dense off-white head. The aroma picked up a heavy blend of oranges and floral notes with lesser honey.. warm and a bit muddled, but no real complaints. The flavor found sweet biscuit and lesser fruity notes at the core, with spicy pine, black pepper, and orange zesty bitterness around.. some fusel alcohols on the back and through the finish. Medium-bodied with low-moderate carbonation on the palate.. OK feel and flow.. not a great DIPA, but certainly drinkable.

Not your typical Double IPA in terms of hops and flavor, but quite good in its own right. Starting with the aroma, it has a caramel sweetness almost candy to it and less on the citrus and floral side you usually have with an IPA. Pours a cloudy dark orange/brown color with a thin white head that does leave some lacing. Medium body and mouth feel. The taste is not typical of an IPA much less a double IPA. It front loads with caramel and some sweet malt and less on the floral or citrus hops, though those notes of flavor are buried in there. Not as complex as most double IPA’s and more balanced with the caramel and malt. Overall, an interesting and very drinkable (especially at 8% abv) offering.

Aroma of dried apricots..not getting much else from the nose..pretty faint..dark orange with small film on top..sweet malty taste with decent piney..spruce..and a bit of hops on the finish..pretty creamy and goes down smooth..hard to believe this is 8%..decent double..worth trying once..

Aroma- pungent herbal notes, some bitter hops, funk Appearance- murky brown with a white head Taste- definite hop punch upfront followed by some malts, definite funk, spiciness, oak Palate- appropriate mouthfeel for the style Overall- A funky take on a DIPA. Quite hoppy but also spicy. Not really doing it for me.

Had on draft at the brewery/pub, Barrington, IL. Have to say, I am surprised such a decent brew lies just 20 min from my house. Aroma was pleasant, 1-finger head, nice looking beer. The taste was very nice, a nice mix of hoppy fruitiness without a harshness afterwards. I could drink a bunch of this stuff. The 8.0 ABV% is masked very well. Happy to know of another local brewpub up here in Lake County, IL in addition to Tighthead, etc. Would definitely have this again.
