An intense Double IPA brewed for the "hopheads" of the world. This robust ale is so full of malt and hops that you can almost chew on it. Served in a snifter to bring out all of the nuances of malt, hop, and alcohol.

Draft. Hazy golden color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of floral pine. Taste is not over the top, but smooth and balanced pine. Nice.

12oz can-thin lt tan-hazy dk amber. A-resin/herbal, med malt-cereal. T-initially not good, after being in the pint glass a bit: herbal/floral/orange hops, med malt-cereal/caramel. Enjoyable but not my style of hops.

Can. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Hazy deep amber with a beige head. Aroma of citric and piney hops, grassy hints and a bit of malt. Flavor has some sweet malt, caramelly and a bit biscuity, piney and resinous hops and a bitter and slightly alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied, a bit heavy. Quite alright. Also, I like the drawing on the can.

12oz can. Cloudy, deeper amber pour with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of spicy hops, citrus, and some floral hops. Tastes of citrus, caramel, and pine. Overall, alcohol content well hidden.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2013 12 oz can. It is a middle of the road double ipa. It doesn’t rape you with hops but it also doesn’t excite you with malt. But it still isn’t too bad.

Very good drinking DIPA, with smooth understated carbonation, much citrus flavour. Golden colour. Hops like a 1.5 ipa than a dipa. The citrus is in the nose.

Can. Appearance: Turbid, very opaque orangu copper colored with fluffy, uniform 3-finger off-white head. Nose: Delicious, this aroma is juicy and wet, super hoppy, with big tropical fruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, piney hops, black pepper, mild funk. Wonderful aroma. Taste: Earthy, slightly funky caramel malt, resiny hops, tropical fruit, semi-sweet. Palate: Fairly dense, high level of complexity, very fresh and juicy and flavorful. I love these Onion beers, and I love seeing great beers continue to pour out of cans.
