A very full-bodied oatmeal stout with five different roasted malts and a thick, creamy texture-a meal in a glass!

Black pour with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, some sweetness. Taste is roasted malt, maybe some black patent. Light sweet aftertaste. Ok beer, nothing sticks out. Little watery in the finish.

Nearly black pour with a tight bubbled tan head. Quite a roasty nose with some levity brought on by hops. I get this strange caramel mint quality in there as well. A bit cola-esque on the palate with a little warmth thatís kind of strange. That minty sort of quality is still there, which I like, but everything here seems to be in half measures and comes out boring. It feels like thereís lots of potential in this brew but itís scared to be a grown up.

Jet black. Lots of roast and oats and some chocholate on the aroma. On the palate I find it lack a little bit of punch, medium bodied with some bitter notes on the finish. Overall, meh!

12 oz can from Hy-Vee Muscatine. Black appearance with a thin tan head, slowly diminishing and sticky lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, oats/grains, espresso and light caramel/toffee. Similar flavor, dark, roasty and malty, mild sweetness balanced by a light earthy bitterness. Medium to full body, creamy and smooth, nice texture, easy to drink. Overall, itís pretty damn good.

Blind tasting @ home. Deep brown / black appearance with a creamy brown head. Softly roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and oatmeal in the aroma with some dark fruit tones. Somewhat creamy mouth feel. Slight acidity. Moderate plus bitterness. Mild sweetness. Earthy / coffee flavor. Smooth finish. Pretty good.

Pours a virtual black color with a small thick head that fades to some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate with a splash of vanilla. Taste of roasted malt/ dark fruit and chocolate. Mild bitterness and a fairly dry finish. Full body, thick and creamy, with just a nice touch of sweetness. Enjoyable beer, worth checking out.

Pours a rich, opaque dark chocolate brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, hay, chocolate, coffee. Taste is slightly sweet, followed by a mild bitter finish. Palate is off-- itís watery and thin, with more carbonation than I expect in a stout. The too-light body makes it roll off the tongue so quickly that itís hard to really get a handle on the taste and notice other components of the aroma that might come through only upon tasting. Overall ok, but there are plenty of other beers in this style that Iíd choose over this.

A super chocolately stout that is really carbonated. Leaves a very bitter and bubbly taste I your mouth. This one is hard to drink fast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Johns. Black with light brown head and lace. Very mild aroma of earth ash coffee and dark fruit. Roasted coffee with chocolate ash and watery dark fruit sweetness. Medium assertive roasted earthy fruity bitterness and mild tang (oats?). Lingering fruitiness. A little fruity for my tastes but not bad.
