Fantastic aroma with a great amber orange color. Beer tastes like a pumpkin pie, perhaps a little too sweet for some drinkers, but I look forward to this beer each year for its affordability and refreshing taste. Love this beer.

Purchased at Armanettiís in Chicago, IL; enjoyed after a long Tuesday at work and the first workout Iíve done in over a month. Time to put those calories back on! Appearance is a really vibrant ruby orange with a rich off-white head, tiny carbonation bubbles rising to the top, looks fantastic. Aroma of equal parts bready malt and sweet pumpkin, this may sound odd but this combination makes it smell like I just walked past a Burger King. That is why this gets a perfect 10 for aroma. Other brewers reading this - let it be known that if you make your beer smell like Burger King, people will like it a lot. Taste is very very good, wow, this is a great pumpkin ale! Flavors of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, brown sugar, and it becomes balanced in the end with a crispness and very slight bitterness that reminds you youíre not drinking pumpkin pie mash. Hatís off to these guys, first brew Iíve had from this small northern Chicago brewery, and itís a great one! Itís just one slight tick below Southern Tierís Pumking.

Can from Epps. Pours turbid pumpkin orange with 1-finger uniform sticky white head. Looks great. Smells of pumpkin spice, pimpkin puree, Graham cracker crust. Smells great too. Tastes rich, with a great pumpkin and pie crusty flavor. Good complexity, and one of the best and most complex pumpkin ales I have ever quaffed.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark Orange and Hazy. Rich Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon, and Malts. Flavor starts out strong but finishes disappointingly dry. A good Pumpkin Ale, but still falls shorts in terms of flavor with itís dry finish.

Clear orange copper color with an aroma of allspice, nutmeg, graham cracker and pumpkin. What an amazing flavor! Allspice, nutmeg, pumpkin, graham cracker. So well-balanced. Easily one of the best pumpkin ales Iíve had.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark gold color with no head. Lots of spices in the aroma. Cinnamon, allspice, and cloves stand out. The taste is everything the aroma promises with a healthy dash of bitter hops. There is a slightly dry and musty qualtiy that could be from pumpkin, but otherwise it just appears to be a dry, mulled beer. Pretty tasty!

Brown/Gold Coloring with White Head. Pumpkin and Spices Aroma. Malt Background with Pumpkin and Cinnamon/Cloves Spices on the Tongue as Well. Bit of a Tang in the Mouth and Light Hops at the End. Pretty Tasty Pumpkin Brew! Much More Satisfying Than the Oktoberfest.

Draft sample, Bavarian Lodge. Nose is full of pumpkin pie spice: nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, a little ginger. Color in the little glass is light brown. Taste has those usual nutmeg, cinnamon and other spices, and leaves you to guess whether thereís actual pumpkin in here. But I caught something else: a distinct creamy or fatty impression that immediately made me think of pumpkin pie crust, whipped cream or even a pumpkin mousse. Donít want call it "buttery" because thatís not diacetyl. A nice surprise for this kind of brew.
