2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Picked up after a tour of the St. Louis brewery. OK, but not great. Try a New Glarus raspberry instead.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Transfer from BA review on 8-17-13-
Poured from the bottle into a pint glass
Appearance- The beer pours a hazy pink hued reddish-brown color with a big billowy pink head. The bubbles that compose the head pop over time leaving a decent level of streaky pink lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is massively sweet of a raspberry smell. It is sugary and super potent with it being detected upon opening the bottle and permeating the room when poured. It is very sweet and actually rather nice and candy like.
Taste – This is one super sweet tasting beer. It begins huge of a sugary and non-descript artificial berry flavor. The massive sweetness grows even stronger taking on a berry/raspberry fruit-juice/ soda like taste. Even at 8 % abv very little alcohol is detected on the tongue (just a hint) with the flavors in the end leaving a massively sweet cloying taste on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the brew is on the average side in its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the average to actually slightly lower side for a fruit beer. The feel is a bit off as a slightly higher carbonation and lighter body may have been slightly more appropriate.
Overall – Not my cup of tea. Massively sweet. If you want something fruity and sugary tasting then this is it, if not then you may want to pass up this one.

"Both Red and Black were better (less offensive) than the blue. Covers 8% pretty well, still slightly medicinal. The raspberry flavor was apparent and sweet...would do well with a little tartness as well. Probably too much to ask..."

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Rated on 5-05-2014 (Bottle) The appearance is a medium sized foamy, semi-fizzy pink head that mostly diminishes, transparent reddish body, fizzy, lively, fast rising carbonation, and no lacing. The aroma is fruit punch, sweet, tart, and a little sour. The flavor is sweet, fruit punch, sour, and tart. The mouthfeel has a warming sensation and this beer is light-medium bodied. This beer is easily forgettable as it is too artificial tasting.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz bottle shared, pours medium pinkish color. The aroma is raspberry juice and lager. Doesn’t mask the fact that this is a lager. But the flavor of the raspberry is actually pretty good. By no means am I an in bev fan but this is refreshing. Could almost say a framboise light.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Liquid raspberry and cranberry under a fizzy cranberry tinged head which fades into a thin collar. Swirls fizzy and dissipates quickly.
Raspberry ice and raspberry slushies – artificially flavored and artificially sweet. Cranberries, blueberries, and raspberry mingle in the middle – again, more sweet than tart. Tart dryness along the sides. Generic grassiness. Tickle of sweet heat in the back.
Even sweeter than the nose implied. Raspberry soaked angel food cake. Raspberry cream and raspberry creamsicle. Tannic leathery bite at the back of each swallow. Raspberry cotton candy.
Just another syrupy sweet concoction from AB-InBev with a higher ABV then their standard line of macro swill. There are far better brewed and far better tasting beers with a higher ABV to drink. Blech.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Ever had a framboise? This is a domestic version of the French beer. Pours a ruby red and a medium pink head that dissipates quickly. Extremely fruity bouquet as one would expect and am explosive raspberry taste. A good break from the norm.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pink pour with a white head. The aroma is full of raspberries. The flavor is more of the same with the addition of a lot of sugar. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sweet artificial raspberry aroma with a red raspberry color. Soda-like carbonation. Some artificial raspberry sweetness followed by metal. Not that great.

1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
It’s red and fizzy. It smells like fruity soda. It’s really not very good. In fact you’re probably better off getting some sort of artificial red fruit juice and pouring some vodka in it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12oz bottle 7/17/13 (Binny’s Naperville Mix A Six)-42° in Shaker-Pours a cloudy ruby red with a small off white head. Aroma of raspberries and spices. Taste of the same with a bit of cough syrup after taste. This light bodied brew is not bad and hides the ABV very well.
