2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 kegbelly (10) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 5, 2011
It was okay for a Brown Ale. Nothing special. I did like the nose but it wasn’t as alive in the mouth as I would have hoped.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gramity (520) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - APR 29, 2011
Dark brown, pretty clear, good off-white head and lace. Smell is malty, kind of sour. Tastes are vanilla, chocalte maltiness, and a bit of a sour finish. The mouthfeel was pretty full and creamy, went down smooth, had some good carbonation. I’d try this one again, but not spectacular.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sask89 (257) - Regina, Saskatchewan, CANADA - JAN 29, 2011
Pours a clear very dark brown colour with no head. Aroma is of roasted grain malts, bread, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is slightly dry and bitter with a reasonable sweetness to it. Medium body, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. A nice brown ale, unique but nothing spectacular.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 rosenbergh (3145) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 7, 2010

Quite crisp roasted malt, some bitter hops and mild chocolate and coffee in flavour. Fizzy.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 thb (439) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 13, 2010
Pours a rich reddish brown with nice foamy head. Some aromas are toast, coffee, alcohol. Most beers of theirs I’ve had have been reasonably subdued but this one goes big. Toasty malts, dry sweetness, lingering herbaceous bitterness. I found the carbonation a little harsh though, and honestly, it was a little watery.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 bulldogops (311) - Alberta, CANADA - JAN 24, 2010
Bottle. 5%. Pours a sinfully dark brown with a brown, bubbly head. Aroma is sweet, hints of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is smooth, with a dark roast malt quality with hints of coffee and chocolate. Finishes dry, and quite bitter on the after taste. Not quite what I expected, this moves closer to the category of Porter and Dark Ale, then other brown ales I have previously experienced, but still quite drinkable.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Berley31 (230) - New Brunswick, CANADA - NOV 13, 2009
A: Poured out of the bottle with a very small, tan head, that diminished to a thin film very quickly. Body is dark brown, but clear.
S: Nice aroma of roast malt coming through, and semisweet chocolate.
T: Lots of semisweet chocolate in the taste, with the roasted coffee flavors coming through in the end. Slightly bitter finish. Average duration for the flavor... quite tasty.
M: Light body with a minor-creamy texture leaning towards thin/oily, and soft carbonation.
D: I thought this was a pretty good Brown ale. I continue to be quite impressed with the Wild Rose beers.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 TheDoctor (67) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 20, 2009
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2009 Fairly dull and basic, but drinkable nonetheless. Has a metallic taste which seems to pop up in some Wild Rose beers but not all.
