COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark ruby red-brown ale with a distinctive coffee-chocolate character. Don't let the dark color and robust flavor fool you--it's a medium bodied beer with a clean finish.

A reddish brown ale with a thin dissipating off white head. In aroma, strong diacetyl with light sulfury notes...and this is relatively fresh. In mouth, a sourish brew with lacvtic notes, light burned roasted nuts, but rather unimpressed, another bad batch from WR. 330 mL bottle from Presario.

1 L bottle. Deep brown colour, thin white head. Nutty aroma, malty caramel sweetness with faint earthiness in back. Falvour is a bit chewy and malty. Breadiness and tofee. Flavour is well-balanced, malty, earthy with a sweetish finish.

creamy drink. Well carbonated brown with nuttiness. Drop of sourness masked by good malt profile.Fresh from the brewery, thanks Pootz for sharing. Bit oily coffeee injected consistency, and licorice on aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2007 November 2007. Draft at the brewpub. Dark ruby tinged brown body with an off white head. Musty grainy aroma, hint of roast. Mild malty lightly roast flavour is simple but solid. Average palate. Quite quaffable, pleasant. Very glad I got a chance to re-rate a fresh sample. 7/3+/7/3/14-15 <P>December 2005. Bottle from Premier in Halifax. Slightly hazy brown body, with a tiny white head. Very mild sourness in the aroma from the glass, while a sniff from the bottle yields deliciously rounded cocoa. Flavour has a tang to it, with sweet malt and a touch of cocoa peaking out. Average to thin palate. 5/3/5/3/9 - 2.5

Clear nut brown, rich choco-caramel aromas. same on the palate with a nutty accent. Decent enough.

1L. Cloudy dark chestnut brown. Lactic sheets cover diacetyl and margarine like coffee hints. Oily flavor with an off leafiness. Lactic, almost balsamic at times, but the most annoying is the buttery coffee. All this while being very carbonated makes me a sad boy. I assume it was not fresh?
