COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wild Rose Gose Rider is a Gose, a style of wheat beer made with coriander and salt that is native to Northern Germany. “Unable to find any commercial examples we brewed a test batch in an attempt to understand how the unique ingredients would work together,” said Brian Smith, Director of Brewing Operations at Wild Rose. “The results were so positive that Gose was tabbed to be our summer seasonal release.” Described as being “extremely refreshing” with a “slight sourness and higher carbonation level (that) complement the ingredients,” Gose Rider was launched by the brewery last week. It’s available now in 650 ml bottles at the Wild Rose taproom & retail store and at select retailers in Alberta, and will remain in production until August.

650 ml bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.; thanks DuffMan). Looks good for the style; a hazy golden orange with white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; wheaty and yeasty with notes of salt and coriander, Tastes like it smells with some light pine and citrus from the hops. Good on the palate with a tart, dry mouthfeel. Enjoyable.

[Bottle (650ml) shared with GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a pale yellow-gold with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Nice aroma, fruity and salty along with herbs and some wheat. Citrusy and herbal flavour along with a good amount of salt, wheat and more fruit. Average bodied. Surprisingly good and refreshing.

2014-05-02. Lightly hazy dark yellow body with a small white head. 3+ Aroma is quite pleasant, it has a sort of salty quality to it and pleasantly fruity, gooseberry like character throughout, grassy wheaty touches. 7+ Flavour is similar whisper of salt around the edges, fruit, lightly sour and tart throughout in a way that is pretty refreshing. Average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. Lovely stuff, very quaffable. Bottled dated Enjoy by 09/01/2013, via trade with Ferris

Nice balance here. The salt is well integrated, bit of a soapy finish, but otherwise excellent. Quite a it spicy too.

Bottle shared by Ferris on the RBWG bus- thanks again! Pours a hazy lemon yellow with a small white head that leaves spots in the glass. Notes of salt, wheat, lemon citrus, and some veggies. Light-bodied, with low carbonation and a dry, vegetal mouthfeel. Not my favorite gose, but easy drinking and not bad.

Hazed yellow/brown pour with white head and lace. Aroma is light sour and papery. Sour with a wheaty/papery bitter finish. Light medium bodied and fizzy. I gave it one point over my original rate because it is 4%. I wish I could make this beer nice

>> Pours cloudy white with minimal foam. Nose is sweet white grape juice, sugary. Taste is sweet white gummy bears, fake pineapple. Palate is soft and light at least. But overall not really Gose.

Bottle shared by Ferris on the RBWG 2014 bus. Pours a cloudy gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of wheat with a light tartness and a light fruit note as well. Flavor has a great combination of light tart red fruit and wheat with a hint of earthiness backing.
