Highly carbonated. Soft mouthfeel and flavours - some apricot, hay, lemon peel with a prickly finish. Hef flavours aeren’t big, more a straight wheat.

Bottle. Brilliant cloudy pale yellowy orangey beer with a strong white head. The aroma is mildly citrus and yeasty, and the flavour is bitter with some tartness and mellow citrus and yeastiness. Overall a pretty good German style wheat beer.

Kind of a sharp and sweet taste for a hefeweizen, but still retains the same texture and composition.

Single bottle purchased from a Co-op Liqour Store on 06/17/2012 in Calgary, AB. Colour: Light yellow and clouded with generous white head. Nose: The freshest wheat grain possible and nicely wrapped in a blanket of early spring flowers. Young oranges and tangerine also come through with swirling. Pure malt appears too. Taste: Medium-light sweet, light bitter, medium-light sour. Big citrus fruit, sourdough bread. World class aroma on this one.

Bottle, shared with my wife in the Medicine Hat sun. Densely hazy bright yellow pour with a thick luxurious long-lasting meringue for a head. This looks exactly how a German hefe should. Aroma is lovely, with wheat and soft banana and light clove spice. So far I’m very happy! The palate is silky and smooth, delivering lovely wheaty flavours with ripe banana, sweet spice, and light lemon. This gets full marks from me. The only thing missing to make it a perfect hefe is that lovely bubblegum ester some yeasts deliver. This brought me back to Munich, and on a hot summer day there is no better beer for me than a well-made hefeweizen. This brew and the one made by Tree are the only really nice examples of this style made here in Western Canada that I have found. This beer made me happy.

650ml brown bottle. Pours a lightish golden colour with expected haze. Fat white head with a creamy compostion. Foam sticks all over the glass, a nice looking beer overall. Aroma is lemony and tangy. Taste is wheat with minor lemon notes. Light body and moderate carbonation, pretty smooth mouthfeel and this tips back easily.
