patricks110 (156), Alberta, Canada Jul 21, 2008 Overall, not too bad. Very hoppy and bitter like a good IPA should be. There is an overpowering taste of the beer however. The mouthfeel was smooth and slightly complex. Altogether, this is a fairly good brew from Wild Rose. I am hoping to make a trip to their brewery soon.
fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2008 2008-07-28, draught at the brewery, 7-4-7-5-14=37 Hazy light amber color, creamy head. Good american hops aroma, not too strong, with some caramel and a light cheesy touch (interesting). Good caramel flavor, strong bitterness, dry resins or hop oils too, and very light cheesy touch too. Very pleasant.
2008-07-27, draught at Ship and Anchor, Calgary, 6-3-7-4-14=34 Amber color. Light fruity hop aroma. It has some caramel flavor, light sweetness (I would like more), strong bitterness, with some nice hop oils, and strong final. Simple but pleasant. hip_hop (84), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 4, 2008 Biscuity malt with orange/grapefruit citrus hop nose. I’d guess Centennial and Cascade. Opaque orange-blonde colour with white head that diminishes to thin cover. Mild malt and vegetal, grassy hops. Very dry. Mouthfeel is somewhat watery. Bottle. dkachur (779), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Aug 1, 2008 12 ounce bottle. The name of the person who shared this beer will be withheld to protect the innocent. Hazy apple juice color w/ no head. Aroma is melon, pear, caramel and something very, very wrong. Totally oxidized with a very papery taste. Some subtle hops and a slightly vegetal taste. Completely flat. Total trainwreck. joshuabarclay (21), Canada May 16, 2008 How bitter is this supposed to be? I think there might be some leftover dish soap in my glass. If not, this beer is just okay. If so, well then my face is certainly red.
