Wild Rose IPA (India Pale Ale) is a beautiful copper-coloured ale, rich in caramel malt character and well balanced with plenty of hops. An authentic India Pale Ale, this IPA is handcrafted for the true ale drinker.
So hop to it.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2009 from 330ml bottle. Hopy floral aroma. Bitter flavor, very hopy, very floral. very strong flavor a great IPA. Pours a very deep amber colour. My on;y complaint, would be the 6%alc. I would like to see an IPA with a strong hopy flavor and an 8%-9%alc/vol.

Pours with a nice copper colour, lots of hops, good body. Well balanced, good hop bitterness...

Head sticks around moderately. Golden colour... like pine sap. Clean, grapefruit / citrus rind. Very aromatic and pleasant. Bitter citrus and leafy hops. Nice flavour, and just the softest balance of malt in there for good measure. Fairly crisp... medium body and easy drinking. All of ’em are lighter alcohol and good session brews. Nothing TOO extraordinary, but good.

Strangely orange in colour. Mixed nose with soft fruit, bread & butter, and an annoying metallic hint. Fairly carbonated in the mouth and hits with an immediate strong bitterness. Fades near the end and doesn’t leave much trace of that. This is good because now the malt and bundle of hops comes through. Decently balanced with one another as well. Turned slightly watery on its last breath down my gullet.

12oz twist-off bottle. Orange color, thin white head. Aroma of citrus hops and caramel malt. Flavor is an OK caramel malt, hints of mustiness. Finishes with a grassy hop bitterness. Dry and light bodied. Good amount of hops, finishes with a decent IBU character. Not bad, had better.

Hazy light amber color, creamy head. Good american hops aroma, not too strong, with some caramel and a light cheesy touch (interesting). Good caramel flavor, strong bitterness, dry resins or hop oils too, and very light cheesy touch too. Very pleasant.

Amber color. Light fruity hop aroma. It has some caramel flavor, light sweetness (I would like more), strong bitterness, with some nice hop oils, and strong final. Simple but pleasant.

Biscuity malt with orange/grapefruit citrus hop nose. I’d guess Centennial and Cascade. Opaque orange-blonde colour with white head that diminishes to thin cover. Mild malt and vegetal, grassy hops. Very dry. Mouthfeel is somewhat watery. Bottle.

12 ounce bottle. The name of the person who shared this beer will be withheld to protect the innocent. Hazy apple juice color w/ no head. Aroma is melon, pear, caramel and something very, very wrong. Totally oxidized with a very papery taste. Some subtle hops and a slightly vegetal taste. Completely flat. Total trainwreck.

Overall, not too bad. Very hoppy and bitter like a good IPA should be. There is an overpowering taste of the beer however. The mouthfeel was smooth and slightly complex. Altogether, this is a fairly good brew from Wild Rose. I am hoping to make a trip to their brewery soon.

How bitter is this supposed to be? I think there might be some leftover dish soap in my glass. If not, this beer is just okay. If so, well then my face is certainly red.
