Bottle - Pours out hazy orange amber with a rocky fast disappearing head. Sweet citrus hops with a grassy butterscotch note. Thin mouthfeel and sweetish thin malt with some hops coming on. Needs to be dry hopped at at least twice the rate and more bittering hops to get your mouth thirsting for more. I was expecting (by the rugged label and name) to be smacked in the mouth with a super aggressive hoped up "over" bittered monster. When I see a pipe wrench (or hammer maybe) on the label of an IPA I want and expect my tongue to just about bleed from the hopping rate. Sadly my mouth did not get the grievous hop assault it came looking for.

Nice hoppy IPA. Ticks the boxes , coppery in colour, sweet flora aroma, lots of hop in the finish. Nice lacy head, white in colour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of citrus, hops, fruit and malt. Cloudy caramel colour with a short white well laced head. Taste of fruit, hops and malt. Dry chalky feel with a mildly bitter palate.

Pours clear pale amber with one finger of loose light tan head diminishing rapidly to nothing, minimal lacing. (3/5) Nose is citrus and piney hops, caramel malt. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet and moderately strong bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate to low sustained carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (3/5) Not too bad. A little unsubtle, but drinkable. Probably the best tap option here, other than plain old Guinness. (12/20)

Pours a hazy orange/amber colour. Aroma is filled with notes of C-hops and citrus with a hint of caramel. On the palate that malty/caramel backbone provides a good backdrop to some hoppy bitterness and flavour profile. Not as bad an IPA as some of those rated here thought it was.

Pours a dark copper color. Nice white foam head, leaving lots of lacing. I was really surprised at the nice zesty hop bite. Love it.

Hazy copper, with frothy white head. Smell is caramel, nuts, honey, spruce, and citrus. Taste is sweet caramel, honey and toast, followed by a powerful pine taste and finishes with a slight hint of citrus. Thick and sticky, with average carbonation on the palate. Decent local brew but lacks balance of flavours, which prevent it from becoming an excellent beer.

Hoppy malty smell, weak notes of pine and citrus with some floral. Pours golden, slightly hazy with a frothy white head. Tastes hoppy, sharp bitter, grapefruit peel, missing the malt backbone to round it out (IMO). Also tastes of burnt caramel and pine. Medium to heavy body, moderate carbonation, but too astringent to be great. Like so many mediocre IPAs, this one is just too bitter at the end. It had a good start, but the finish is too astringent to be great. Saying that, it came from Alberta, and that in itself is a good sign.

On tap at Wild Rose, pours a clear copper with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out some notes of pine, some metallic notes, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour brings out piney and floral hops, but in a pretty restrained way, with a dry biscuity malt backbone. No residual sweetness here, which is good, but not the most robust IPA. Decent snd well-made, just nothing special.

Pours Amber, aroma of the usual IPA stuff. Taste is lightly citrus, tropical fruits. Not too bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
