It is a light bodied ale with a distinctive raspberry flavor and aroma and contains 4.5% by volume. It is made with whole raspberries (not extract!) and its light hopping and refreshing nature makes it a great hot weather patio beer.

Bottle. 4.5%. Pours a deep golden yellow with just a little bit of a pink tinge that I may be imagining, with a weak, bubbly white head. Aroma is strong raspberry. Taste is a malty lager taste with a hint of raspberry sweetness and a dose of raspberry tartness built in. Finish is tart, but not unpleasant. Overall, this is an interesting concept beer, but it just isn’t anything to get excited about.

UPDATED: NOV 5, 2009 fairly ordinary fruit beer with a good nose and the raspberry flavor isn’t overpowering but compliments other ingredients nicely.

Bottle. Pours gold/pink clear, head disappears quick. Aroma of raspberry. Tastes of malt with a light hint of raspberry. Pretty good, although it could use more raspberry flavour.

Better than most fruit beers, the raspberry is a nice accent to this beer and really compliments the nose. Nothing super special.

Light haze on a light yellow pour. Raspberry aroma that is subtle enough to not be overbearing. Taste is to the same proportions as the nose. Taste is there and not over the top. Could have more presence though.

Bottle. Pours a pale golden-yellow, with a pink hue. Nose is soft raspberries and malt. Palate shows good raspberry character, as well as light malt and yeast. Inoffensive and unexciting, but surprisingly refreshing when it’s way too hot outside. This beer is vastly better on tap.

The raspberry flavour and smell is exactly like a fresh raspberry from the pricly bushes. This is a beer first and a rasperry beer second. The fruit flavour is very noticable but not overpowering. However there is a definite distinction between the two flavours, almost like they are fighting to be noticed but neither wants to steal all the attention.

From 330ml bottle. Golden yellow coulour with the slightest pink hue. Nice balance, tastes like malt raspberrie, and grass. This is what a fruit beer should be.

Crisp golden. A somewhat fizzy white head... very short retention, leaving almost nothing behind. Very light aroma. The raspberry scent is there, but quite modest, and about the only thing noticable. Like the aroma, the raspberry is very light. A pale malt flavour, but not a whole lot more going on. Light, refreshing and a clean finish. Not the most complex thing, but a great summer beer, and an excellent candidate for an introduction to craft beer / macro-crossover

Wow. Great nose. Absolutely beautiful wrasp...err raspberries with a lacing of sugar cane. A pale to orange colour with a hint of pink. Light raspberry mouth, not nearly as much as I expected. Some flower....and not much else. What happened here? It almost feels as if the true flavours are being held back by something. Did I aquire an off-bottle? Crisp enough, but entirely too light. A mixed bag. I’ll have to try another.
