COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on a German style Pilsner. We take your traditional German Pils and add a good old American Hop Punch. This beer is clean, crisp and refreshing. This golden lager is the perfect beer for hot Virginia summer days.

12 oz can The Pilsener poured a clear light gold with a frothy white head with lacing. The aroma was of honey and some light hops. The pils had medium body with fizzy carbonation. The taste is more complex with pears, bread and honey. The finish was drier than expected. There is a melatic aftertaste also at the finish.

Can. Pours a clean gold with bubbly, dense, white head and soapy lace. Nose of grass, hay, honey, citrus. Medium body, some creaminess to the mouthfeel. Grain, grass and citrus. Pretty sweet with a little vegetal notes that I’m not really enjoying. Light bitterness.

Can from Beer Run. The pour’s gold with a pillowy white head. The nose is honeyed bread. A bit of toast. Slightly papery. Some pear. The taste is honey, pear, chalk. Really dry on the finish. Quite crisp. Light body, moderate carbonation. Overall, fine.

12oz can pours a completely clear, light straw gold with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose is light flour, malt, cracker, grass, heavy straw, lemon. Flavor is sort of similar, flour, bread, lemon, grass, hay, straw, a little honey. Clean finish. Decent.

Total Wine, Fairfax sixer: Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is American hops, with some grass, and bread. Taste is nice and hoppy, with more of an American pine direction than a German grassy one. Refreshing and crisp of course. Tasty and sessionable.

Aromas of floral hops, biscuits, and sourdough. Pale gold with a mostly lasting, white head. Taste is dry and bitter. Light body, average carbonation, and a lasting, bitter finish. Very balanced and very clean.

Draft at Capital Ale House Harrisonburg. Pours golden with an inch of white head that disappears quickly and leaves little lacing. Slight note of corn on the nose. Not much on the tongue except a faint citrus. Finishes watery. Not the best pilsner I’ve had by far.
