2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Serving: draft at Fire Works Leesburg. Cloudy yellow pour. Odd honey and grain nose. The flavor has a weird tartness with lemon, light honey, grain, and yeast. An odd aftertaste lingers on the tongue. This one seems to be a bit of a mess.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Total Wine, Fairfax sixer of cans: Pours golden with a white head. Aroma is honey, light fruitiness, and some Belgian yeast. Taste is a little too sweet for me. Tasted a little bit too heavy and wasnít exactly refreshing in the hot summer heat I was drinking it in. That said, the flavors were honey with a wee bit of the hops. Not bad, but didnít come together.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a murky golden into the glass, with a thin ring of suds that travels down the pour. The nose has some dank wheat and hay notes. Wheat and honey dominate here, but a little ABV shows through light muddy citrus undertones, some marshmallow and an overly sweet honey finish. The palate is medium-bodied and semi-active with carbonation. The mouthfeel is a tad cloyingly sweet for the style. Not that it isnít a decent pour on a 4th of July evening, but to keep things in check, itís almost par for the course.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a bit of an orange glow and a very thin off-white head. Aroma of hay, grass, yeast, wheat and a bit of light funk - nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive honey flavour with a lot of yeast, grass, hay, oak and even the slightest note of wild yeast and brett. Aftertaste shows a pungent sweet kick from the honey and apricots with a good balance of malt and a little dry herbal and yeast kick at the very end. Overall, a surprisingly good beer with a great profile and a nice sweetness at the end, well balanced and nice to sample. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Washington, DC (Foggy Bottom) on 28-February-2014 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 10-June-2014.

Very refreshing honey blonde from Wild Wolf. Pours a hazy light gold, with a nice head. Nose is citrus. Taste is wheat, honey and orange peel. It finishes nicely and doesnít linger in the mouth. Cheers!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazed yellow pour with light head and lace. Aroma is light malt and pepper I think on the nose. Sweet malt, pepper, and a good warm feeling as you drink. No distinct abv presence but as it warms you get the feeling this is not 4.5%. Sweet start and the pepper finish is pretty nice. Medium body with good carbonation. very ok blond

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A: Pleasantly fragrant with hints of honey, lemon, and wheat.
A: Gorgeous appearance. Pours a cloudy golden yellow that almost glows.
T: Starts with a sweet, honey forward taste with a medium malty backbone and is balanced out by spicy pepper and finished with a slight citrus aftertaste.
P: A little thin on the palate but really the only complaint I can find with this beer.
O: Dangerously drinkable. Beautiful appearance and nose, well balanced taste, easily sessionable although at 6.8 ABV it will quickly sneak up on you.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I had this on tap at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was a really hazy, lemon yellow with an average to large, foamy head. The aroma was a lot like a Belgian, lots of fruity, slightly spicy tones. Bananas. Malt. A little citrus. But the flavor was really, really sweet. I thought it tasted far sweeter than the aroma implied. Typically, overly sweet beers arenít my thing. But this brew was the perfect foil for my mango-habanero wings. I donít know that Iíd buy this beer to drink on itís own, at home. But Iíll have it again when I go back to B-Dubs.
