This stout is a deep brown in color and has a beautiful tan head. It is medium bodied and has a creamy character. The coffee like aroma with slight chocolate notes is followed by a medium hop bitterness. This beer is remarkably smooth.

Can... Pours so black I have to hold my glass up toward the scorching, south Florida sun to see its beautiful, clear, crimson hue. Huge, frothy, well-tanned head. Fantastic retention. The olfactory focuses are dark chocolate and deeply roasted malts. Medium-bodied with gentle carbonation. The flavor features charcoal for the most part with a bitter, burnt element that lingers long after each sip. Bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94!

12 oz bottle. An exceptional stout here. It pours a near black color with a thin tan head. The aroma is of roasted malts, chocolate. A taste of roasted malts, coffee, bitter hops,. Thin-medium bodied, lingering bitterness.Finishes nice and clean.

on tap @ Wild Wolf / Nellysford VA --- Opaque dark brown color, brown head cover, sheets of lace. Taste is full-bodied toasted bitter malt that adds carbonation on the swallow, light hops at the end. Surprisingly heavy for a 4% brew. Quaffable, but not quite balanced or interesting enough to be a keeper.

Black/brown pour with tan head and lace. Aroma is roasty malt and coffee, and a touch of chocolate. Dry hard coffee flavor. A hard malt like bitter that reminds me of black patent malt. Light medium body with ok carbonation. pretty solid beer

Wild Wolf and itís Dry Stout. Wild Wolf has by far my favorite stout in Brew Alley Virginia. When you first see the stout it has an awesome awesome dark color. Unfortunately the head is a bit lacking and not quite as thick as I would like it. It also doesnít have a strong smell to it, chocolate/coffee/roasted hops, anything. So Iíll have to deduct a few points there. The taste however greatly delivers! It is absolutely delicious and I could drink it all day. It is slightly hoppy, but with a smooth sweet buttery finish that I love. The carbonation is slightly lighter than their other beers but that is expected and spot on. Overall this is a great stout and Wild Wolf should be proud of this one.

12oz can into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a very large, billowy dark tan head. Lots of crusty lacing clinging to the sides of the glass and the head persists over halfway through drinking the glass. Very impressive. Aroma is milk chocolate along with some roasted malt and a hint of metal. Nothing really off-putting but not extremely impressing either. Light milk chocolate on the flavor along with a touch of fruitiness from either the yeast or the hops. The roast is a little bit subdued and there is a touch of caramel. Mouthfeel is very silky but doesnít finish quite as dry as I was hoping leaving some stickiness on the lips. Overall, a quite impressive beer from a brewery I have never heard of. I could put back a few of these.
