3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured off the tap into a pint glass at the "Bucket Trade" in Chester, VA.
Aroma- Has a nice malt and chocolate backdrop.
Appearance- A dark, dark brown color (almost black). Has a small tannish colored head.
Taste- Has a smooth malt flavor mixed with a candy strawberry flavor oh, and toss in some chocolate. A very nice combo.
Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a thin texture feel.
Overall- A nice brew, this is my first beer from Wild Wolf Brewing and I will try others from this brewer and drink this again.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours the deepest prune into the glass, with a huge tan head that lasts, leaving pocked thick lacing. The nose is of strawberrry jam. Flavors have the strawberry tartness, with an unbalanced malt backbone, especially for such a malt-heavy brew like a schwarzbier. This leaves the palate a bit thin and citric, lacking some of the great contingencies that make up a substantial body. There are certain aspects of it that I actually do enjoy, but overall, I think it misses the mark on its intent.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A dessert beer. Lots of caramel and mild cocoa with some strawberry on the nose and at the end of the sip. Tried this at the DC beerfest with Jess, Mark, and Matt in 2014.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. This beer is just about everything you’d expect from the name and very detailed description. Red-tinged black with otherwise normal "schwartz" visuals. The aroma is pretty straight forward ... a bit of roasty malt to be sure ... but that berry thing’s in there too. There’s a definite strawberry character up front in this. And there’s nothing technically wrong with it. But it’s a niche. Maybe a beer to enjoy with some chocolate cake ... (#5519, 5/20/2014)

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not necessarily great. Seems like an ok idea actually but that’s just because I don’t usually like Schwarzbiers. Pours dark brown with ok head and lacing. Some roast, some strawberry. On tap at DC Beer Festival.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
3/23/2014. 22 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of light roasted malt. The strawberries do not add much if anything. This is more a traditional schwartzbier. Nice malty flavors with hints of chocolate.
